- This ep was good. I don't have that much to say about it !! -- Computer Geek!, 20:18:36 03/14/04 Sun
Archer is still the same headstrong captain, not allowing the others to help when the want to be involved.
I was surprised at T'Pol's reaction to the whole situation. She didn't even want to talk to Trip about any of it. There is something there with T'Pol and Capt. Archer!?!?!?!
I'm sure once the Xindi realize that humans are on their side that they will help them rebuild enterprise...so...maybe this is the beginning of some allies!! After all future guy said the xindi are in the federation in the future!!

Enterprise, DS9 Ring Up Saturn Award Noms
The Star Trek franchise scored a total of four nominations in the 30th Annual Saturn Awards, announced yesterday by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films in partnership with Cinescape Magazine.
Scott Bakula, Jolene Blalock and Star Trek: Enterprise are all three-for-three with Saturn nominations. Since the show began, it has been nominated every year for Best Network Television Series, Bakula for Best Actor in a Television Series, and Blalock for Best Supporting Actress in TV.
Blalock won two Saturn awards in 2002 after only her first season as "T'Pol", namely Best Supporting TV Actress and a special "Faces of the Future" award (related story). Unfortunately, Connor Trinneer, who has been nominated the last two years for Best TV Supporting Actor, was not on the list this time.
The Saturn Awards will be presented on May 5.

Production Report: "Countdown" Ramps Up Toward Season Climax
The action and tension accelerate to a fever pitch in "Countdown," the next-to-last episode of Season 3, under the direction of Robert Duncan McNeill.
SPOILER ALERT! Without giving very much away, the story continues the struggle to prevent the Xindi superweapon from being used against Earth. In this chapter the Xindi are ready to initiate the weapon's arming sequence, despite opposition within their ranks. Those dissenting factions agree to help Captain Archer's crew stop that "countdown" from commencing ... but with conditions. The script was written by Andr้ Bormanis and Chris Black.
This production had a rare eight-day schedule (as opposed to seven) for principal photography, and even with that there was a lot to pack in. A great deal of action almost two days' worth took place on a Reptilian Ship, with specific sets for a Bridge, Cell and Corridor. Almost a full day was spent on a set representing the inside of the Weapon itself. Filming also took place inside an Insectoid and an Aquatic vessel, though those scenes will be mostly rendered in post-production.
Standing ship sets used included the Command Center, Armory, Engineering, Launchbay, Sickbay, Captain's Mess, plus lots of use of the Bridge where they just can't get away from the smoke and the sparks. Swing sets re-used from previous episodes include Degra's Ship, and the "Avian Residence" which will be seen in "The Council." A very white, bright "Transdimensional Realm" set was utilized for scenes from both "The Council" and "Countdown" lumped together in one day, with the three actresses portraying the "Sphere-Builder" characters, Josette DiCarlo, Mary Mara and Ruth Williamson.
The rest of the guest cast in "Countdown" consists of the recurring Xindi characters from recent episodes, plus Steven Culp as "Major Hayes," along with a few day players. Many of the recurring stunt players who normally don't get credits also returned and were put through the paces on this episode, under the coordination of Vince Deadrick Jr. Those included Dorenda Moore, Paul Sklar, Kevin Derr and Michael O'Laskey as stunt MACOs; and Ian Eyre, Jacob Chambers and Joey Anaya as stunt Reptilians. Alex Chansky stunt-doubled for Steven Culp as "Major Hayes," and Diana Inosanto filled in for Linda Park for a few physical moves.
Though principal production concluded last Thursday, March 4, some scenes were pushed off into B-unit photography taking place this past Monday, still with McNeill at the helm. Visual effects supervisor Dan Curry stepped into the director's shoes to film additional footage for "Eฒ" that day. That all took place next door to production of the season finale, "Zero Hour" directed by Allan Kroeker.
This is the first time McNeill has come back to Enterprise for a second time in a season. He last directed the now-classic "Twilight," along with "Cold Front" in Season 1 and "The Breach" in Season 2. "Countdown" is the first writing collaboration between Bormanis and Black. Bormanis last co-wrote "Hatchery" and previously scripted "Extinction"; Black wrote "Doctor's Orders" and co-wrote "The Forgotten," among others this season.

Hey everybody! Gosh.. it's DARK in here! LOL! I was just reading Kat's post and I must say at least THIS viewer is more apt to watch Enterprise this season then the others. Not sure why.. I do know I look forward to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and set aside time for it. It figures. Everytime I decide to REALLY watch a show it get's canceled. I'm like the kiss o death. Oh look, Sweetie! Anyway.. I suppose I watch... are you ready folks????!!! For the shipperness! LOL! I nearly fell off the couch last week when Topol attacked Trip. LOL! "Resarch" my hiney! LOL!
Tonights ep was good too. I enjoyed the goofy looks of Topol and her not knowing what to do, etc. So.... Flox halucinated the entire thing? He was the ONLY one concious during the entire trip? Pretty cool. No wonder it never really showed Topol DOING anything. Sort of reminded me a bit of that pooky Bruce Willis movie. Cna't remember the name. Where the little boy says, "I see dead people." OK!!! Everyone here thinking I'm rambling raise their hands! ROTFLOL!! Night night, follks. Michy.. I have your paper towels! The cake is gone. Hi folks! Liked last nights episode! -- Luoodles Post! Post~ ARRGHHH!!!!!!, 12:25:31 02/26/04 Thu
It was great seeing Webb again. I love the part he plays on this show. Did anyone else think it was rather "easy" for he and his men to be overthrown by the rest of the crew? I thought they SPECIALIZED in preventing that sort of thing. Anyway, I also was wondering WHY no one after witnessing the Captain's bizarre behavior/command decisions never thought, "Huh! I bet that slime that got squirted on him is doing some BRAIN damage or something." Flox HAD checked him already but apparently not THOUROUGHLY. Gee WHIZ! Do these folks not watch T.V.? LOLOLOLOL!!!!! Talk about FORESHADOWING! ROTFLOLOLOLOL!!!
Anyway, for me all of the above just added to the enjoyment of the show. I'm liking it more and more every time I watch it. I hope they keep it on the air. I ALSO really hope they are able to hang on to Webb.. or whatever his name is on this show. Steven Culp. That boy raises the entertainment level of every show he's on.
ALso really enjoy the Trip character... and Malcom is growing on me. Of course the Beagle is the "real" star! LOL! Just kidding. He sure is a cutie though!
O.k.... I seem to be RAMBLING again! Back to the Duckyboard! Tuoodles!

- Tucker and T'Pol -- talon, 19:16:35 02/16/04 Mon
Will they or won't they get together again?
Somehow I think they will.
I think T'Pol tried to put the squash on it when she thanked Tucker for his help in Human sexual relations.
I think she really enjoyed herself with Tucker, but is afraid she will lose herself and her self control if she continues.
Tucker on the other hand knows he can't win an arguement with T'Pol concedes initially to her request of no more Sexual activities, but wants to continue the neuropressure treatments with her because he enjoys her company and
believes she can't resist wanting him again in the long run.
What is interesting T'Pol appears to be adopting more Human posture. The way she sat in the chair waiting for Tucker to join her. She was making herself comfortable and being seductive. Something she never would have done when she first arrive. Then she would have sat ramrod straight with a slight forward lean.
What is Soval going to say when she returns after the mission. He'll take one look at her and wonder why she's so emotional

- Good show! But.... -- Frances, 06:35:49 02/12/04 Thu
I can't believe that Archer didn't see the fight coming & deal with the problem before it came to blows. It's been brewing for months!I can't believe two trained military men would act soooo stupid. Now they are best buds, of course! Unlike T'Pol & Trip-how very high school!
Hated the alien storyline-very mean. In fact, I hate that TPTB have made Archer this cruel, consciousless person, from the caring, intuitive man he was. We came up with the Geneva conventions for a reason! People don't treat others this way - It leads to Holocausts,Inquistions, and wars supported by 'god'! The ends do not justify the means. If so, we then become the worst, that we can be. Much worse than any emeny could be. Sorry for the rant-this attitude has been bugging since the beginning. I liked the old Archer, and his trip of exploration. And how are they going to explanation the obvivious changes in "ST history"
when the future doesn't have Xindi, but does have Florida?

- Whoo!! this last ep sturred some emotions with the board!! -- Computer Geek!, 20:45:42 02/14/04 Sat
I actually liked this ep (eventhough I contradict myself further down). It reminded me more of JAG ( just the action combat scenes). The combat training with Major hayes was great. I liked seeing them finally kick each other's butts. Getting sick of Archer's " Stop at nothing to get what u want" attitude. There was Jealousy and UST between T'pol and Trip.
One thing i didn't get was the Alien guy. If He's human than why in the end would he say that his poeple will prevail when the xindi are destroyed?? Did that give Archer a heads up Not to destroy the Xindi ?!? Who the heck is this alien?!?! Could TPTB write a more confusing timeline. I would have just left that whole thing out of the ep period. I feel like the writers have written themselves into a storyline that they don't know how to get out of!!
Maybe not....It just feels that way when they drag this xindi thing on for a WHOLE SEASON!!!! They might as well put TO BE CONTINUED at the end of every episode!!
And the whole expanse bubble blob.....Did they not think it wouldn't try to swallow them also...Come one ...there was already something stuck in it!! This crew is pretty naive!
All-in-All this was an attention grabbing ep. Just can't wait til' next season ( if there is a next season) when this whole expanse garbage is over!!

Looks like we won't have to wait long for Michelle's favorite moment.
What's that? T'Pol confronts Tucker about giving a neuropressure session to a beautiful MACO officer.
Tucker calls her on her Jealousy. T'Pol responds that she doesn't get Jealous, she is a Vulcan afterall.
We then see them both stripping it down for some good ole adult night time activities
Can't wait, it's going to be great!!!!!!!!!!!!!

'Enterprise' on the Move as UPN Sets 'Game Over' Premiere
By Brian Ford Sullivan
CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- "Star Trek: Enterprise" is moving beyond The Expanse into a new time slot come March as UPN revealed several post-February sweeps schedule changes today.
The sci-fi drama is set to move to Wednesdays at 9:00/8:00c beginning March 10. That same night, the network's midseason CGI-comedy "Game Over" will kick off at 8:00/7:00c followed by the return of "The Mullets" at 8:30/7:30c.
The news comes on the heels of persistent rumors about the future of the latest "Star Trek" spin-off. Despite a major storyline revamp, "Enterprise" is averaging 4.04 million viewers for its first-run episodes this season, down 18.54% from the same point last season (4.96 million). Overall, nearly half of the show's audience (47.87%) has been lost since its inaugural season in year-to-year comparisons (7.75 million).
Nevertheless, "Enterprise" won't be airing fresh installments for a while in its new home. Its March 3 episode, "Azati Prime," is currently the last original scheduled until April 21. Interestingly enough, "Game Over" its expected to wrap its six-episode run on April 14 meaning "Enterprise" could very well resume its old Wednesday, 8:00/7:00c slot on the 21st.

- Great episode tonight. -- talon, 00:30:37 01/22/04 Thu
Tonight's episode was the best of the year
It had a great combination of different plots that one could see coming, but were great to see them unfold.
It was nice to see that Archer and the gang realize that the Andorians don't do anything nice for you without a price attache to it.
It was interesting also to see how Commander Shran can see the long term benefits of an alliance with the Humans while his superiors are only care about their own interest.
It may be why the Vulcans and Andorians don't get along. You know, The Vulcans have something, then we should have it too, but they haven't earned it or can appreciate what having it is all about.
I thought it was great that the Andorians thought they were better than the Humans because they had a better ship. They underestimated the intelligence of the Humans and how far they would go to preserve their interest.
The Humans understood the implications of allowing an unstable people a weapon they didn't understand and that could destroy the universe.
It was interesting to see Commander Shran call Archer's bluff. Then to see T'Pol arm the weapon. He once again underestimated the resolve of the humans and their morality.
Nice little scene with T'Pol and Tucker. "Are you avoiding me?" "Three neuropressure sessions a week is hardly avoiding you."
One could sense T'Pol working through her feelings for Tucker. He was so close. They were getting closer. She didn't know if she should allow herself to become more intimate with Tucker. She's fighting her desire for him even though it's what she's wanted since Tucker massaged her ears in the decon chamber so long ago.

Production Report: Kroeker Directs Pivotal "Azati Prime"
When Allan Kroeker steps in to direct, you know it's probably an important episode. Kroeker who usually comes around for season premieres and finales and epic two-parters took the helm of "Azati Prime," an episode which begins the culmination of the Xindi throughline which has defined the entire season.
In the story, scripted by Manny Coto, the NX-01 finally reaches the red giant star Azati Prime, where it was learned in a prior episode the Xindi superweapon designed to annihilate Earth is undergoing its final phases of construction. After the crew locates the massive object underwater on an ocean planet, they realize its destruction will require a suicide mission. Archer insists on doing it himself. But then Daniels shows up and throws a new wrinkle into the plans. The episode will answer substantial lingering questions about the Xindi story arc, while raising even new mysteries.
Matt Winston, of course, returns for the second time this season as temporal agent Daniels. The rest of the guest cast includes the usual Xindi suspects, namely Randy Oglesby as weapon designer Degra; Tucker Smallwood as the Xindi-Primate council member; Rick Worthy as a Xindi-Sloth or "Arboreal"; and Scott MacDonald, who this time is identified as a "Reptilian Commander" rather than just "Xindi-Reptilian."
The cast and crew returned from a two-week holiday break on Jan. 5 ready to embark upon one of the most pivotal episodes of the season. They got back into the swing of things by doing only Bridge scenes the first day with just the principal cast, then spread out into the Ready Room, Command Center and Corridors the second day. Starting the third day and extending throughout the schedule, quite a few scenes were shot inside the Insectoid Shuttle which was originally constructed for "Hatchery." When the Xindi guest cast came in, they performed on sets representing Degra's ship and a Reptilian prison cell. A new set representing a ship in the future was constructed for the Daniels scenes, consisting largely of a "greenscreen" where some astonishing visual effects will be inserted in post-production.
Most of the intense action was saved for the latter part of the schedule, when the Bridge and Engineering take the worst beating they've ever seen. Smoke, fire and sparks filled the sets, as well as stunt players taking falls right and left. Some scenes were even shot in slow-motion. When the script called for a crewman to be engulfed in flames, stunt coordinator Vince Deadrick Jr. took on that role himself. It was an exciting, adrenaline-charged moment on the Engineering set, but everything went smoothly.
Though the production schedule called for seven days, there was actually an overlap Tuesday and Wednesday with the next show, "Damage," directed by James L. Conway, as the action is continuous from one to the next. So Kroeker and Conway were both on set those two days, with "Azati Prime" actually wrapping on Wednesday.
As mentioned, the teleplay was crafted by Coto, but the story concept was developed jointly by him and Rick Berman and Brannon Braga. Coto previously wrote "Similitude" and this week's "Chosen Realm." Kroeker was last on set for the Season 3 premiere "The Xindi," and also directed the Season 2 cliffhanger "The Expanse." He's also done "Shockwave, Part I" and "Part II" among other Enterprise episodes, on top of an impressive resum้ from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager which includes the series finales of each.
"Azati Prime" the 18th episode of the season (with six left to go) and number 70 overall is scheduled to air on March 3.

Quick promos of many shows -- talon, 01:21:27 01/19/04 Mon
Last week the channel I was watching Enterprise on went through quick snapshot of all the shows that were coming up on its channel in the near future.
When they got to Enterprise they show T'Pol stripping it down as she gets ready to lean in for some major face sucking with Tucker
I guess Enterprise is going through with its intention to putting them together this year. Whether or not they stay together is another story.
But it will be interesting to see how Tucker explains why he was doing neuropressure with another female.
How T'Pol reacts to it. I believe the neuropressure treatments were her way of acting on her feeling for Tucker the last few years. It's why she stay initially after Koss summoned her, it's why she decided to stay on the Enterprise when they decided to go into the expanse.
Charlie boy makes her feel alive, he reaches her like no one else can, and she likes it.
Will Charlie tell her he loves her, but didn't think T'Pol could respond in kind in return.
Will T'Pol tell Charlie that she loves him or will she simply offer herself to him because she doesn't want to see him with anyone else and understands his needs for adult night time activities
Will Charlie tell her that their intimate neuropressure treatments has raised is sexual drives.

- Hmmmm! I'm not so sure what I think about the latest ep ........ -- MichelleB, 16:44:22 01/16/04 Fri
.....
I tend not to go for stories that hit VERY close to current events. I know LOTS of shows do "ripped from the headlines" things .... but this religous-centric storyline came across as a mite too simplistic.
NOT that I think the "bad" guy was RIGHT or anything ...... just that I guess I think they should have just named the religous-zealot "Osama" and be done with it.
TOS did a lot of scantily-disguised moralizing too ..... so I suppose this ep was just in the "Grand Tradition".

- I honetsly don't even know where to begin on this ep! -- Computer Geek!, 20:09:41 01/16/04 Fri
This ep was way too close to what is going on today. Politics, Religion and uneducated people!! All are very touchy subjects. The fact that these people thought the expanse was some divine sign and shouldn't be messed with totally reminds me of how terrorists in today's society see Americans messing with " Their" holy land!
The whole Triannon fued with the Heretics cracks me up! Heretics interpretation of the same religion happened slightly different than the triannons interpretation! So let's fight over it!! It just reminds me of how some people beleive jesus died on a cross and some don't . Minor differences that cause such a huge controversy. Get passed it or accept the fact that you don't agree and move on!
The part when Archer said he would sacrifice his life for his crew was admirable.....it just ticked me off when D'jamat said " yeah i would do no different if i was in your position" YEAH RIGHT !!! only COWARDS tell their poeple to blow themselves up in order to kill others while they Themself sit at home and breathe!!! He had no respect for anyone's life ( That couple with the baby proved that). He only cared about keeping the fighting going! Seriously if you are that bored read a book!
The way they killed themselves was actually cool( just for TV's sake)! Is that even possible? Scary thought if it is possible!
Archer was very quick in this ep. Using the transporter to " humanely kill himself" was good thinking. T'pol almost seemed like she was upset even though it wasn't real. Maybe it was just for performance sake?
The end when they went to the triannon's home world. Sad, The destuction. That might be what D'jamat needed to finally stop fighting.
Oh, when D'jamat deleted all their files I'm thinking..like you forgot to make backups! How dumb!Even some data can still be restored..things are never really erased off of hard drives! Anyway blah blah....I'm done!!

- More Intrvw W/ SB......upcoming ep....etc. -- Computer Geek!, 03:44:09 12/12/03 Fri
Star Trek Host: The upcoming "Chosen Realm" (airing January 14, 2004) deals with some very topical issues. What can you tell us about it?
SB: Well, "Chosen Realm" has to do with a species that's been dealing with what we think is religious fanataicism, with regard to the spheres. And it turns out to be about something quite different than that. But it has to do with, in many ways, similarities to the situation in the Middle East.
Q: Captain, I am a US Marine myself. How do you feel about the MARINES [MACO] on your ship now?
USProperty2002
SB: Well, they've helped us numerable times. It's probably one of the best decisions I made to bring them along. You'll see in upcoming episodes that they complicate some of the stories, so it'll be interesting to see how you like them then.
Star Trek Host: Now that you are halfway through this season (13 episodes shot) how does this season compare to the previous two?
SB: Well, it's probably the hardest season in terms of production and schedules and difficulty in terms of getting the episodes onto the screen. But I think overall, it's the most rewarding, and certainly the response from all of you, the fans, has been overwhelmingly positive. So the hard work feels worth it

- Interview with Scott Bakula about last week's ep. ( The time travelin' ep....that i missed) ! -- Computer Geek!!!, 03:38:12 12/12/03 Fri
Star Trek Host: Next week's episode is "Carpenter Street." In this episode, you travel back to the year 2004. Do you feel that Star Trek tends to rely too much on time travel for story ideas?
SB: Well, I think that they successfully introduced the idea of time travel in this franchise very well through the Suliban and their mysterious leader, and then crewman Daniels. So it doesn't seem to be coming out of thin air. Obviously it's something you want to be careful of, and yet at the same time I'm told that the fans love the time travel episodes, and there's certainly an effort on Rick and Brannon's part to write things that they hope the fans will love. This particular journey back in time is very grounded in story. It could have been back to any time in Earth's history, just coincidentally, they picked today.
Q: How was portraying Earth a year from now in "Carpenter Street"? Did it present challenges?
DataLore
SB: No. I think one of the reasons that they picked 2004 is that, in terms of production value, it was easily accomplished. And the other reason is, I think, because the episode deals with germ warfare, and that certainly is a relevant topic today.

- Back in Time -- PB, 13:22:39 11/27/03 Thu
We missed the first 15 minutes of last nights ep. T'Pol and Archer were apparently going back to our time to prevent a biological disaster. I'm not sure how they jumped back in time....it occurred to me it was a bit like Quantum Leap. Archer beat up the prisoner to get info. I am not fond of the meaner captain this season. Not as fun an episode as some in the last 2 seasons.

The morons in charge have really blown this one. Why in the world would the Captain go back in time to solve a problem.
He should be staying with the ship. He should be taking care of the primary mission of finding the Xindhi.
Tucker should be the one going back with T'Pol. If neither gets back the mission will go on.
Besides Tucker and T'Pol make a better pairing. They work better together.
T'Pol wouldn't have to deal with his screwed up morals.

- The Kiss -- talon, 00:01:24 11/20/03 Thu
We all know T'Pol actually kissed the clone but the clone was telling her earlier how the Commander Tucker really felt about her.
That he was beginning to feel for her more than just as a friend. That just maybe he was falling in love with her.
It was the first time T'Pol has shown more than a flicker of emotion. Her breath caught as clone told her of their (his and Tuckers) strong feelings for her. that they weren't a teenagers crush.
One could see the anticipation in her eyes and longing that Tucker care for her more than as just a friend.
It is believed that she had feelings for him. It's why she stayed on the enterprise in the first place, not get married, not go home after the attack.
It's why she wanted to do the neuro pressure treatments with Tucker, a very intimate procedure, which we see becoming more so every time we see them together for treatment.
tonight especially so, rubbing each others feet while looking at the other's six.
As for the kiss one wonders if she was somehow implanting an idea into tucker's brain that she wanted him or was just curious to see how it felt to kiss a man.
Vulcans are known to kiss but to use their two forefingers.
I think it's one of the best parts of the show. Trip overcoming his misconcieve notions of vulcans
and the awakening of T'Pol's emotions as she learns more and more about humanity and being human.

In Memoriam: Kellie Waymire
STARTREK.COM is very saddened to report that actress Kellie Waymire, fondly remembered as Ensign Elizabeth Cutler from the first season of Enterprise, passed away unexpectedly last Thursday evening at her home. The cause of death is still unconfirmed, but early reports indicate she died of natural causes. Kellie also appeared on Star Trek: Voyager in the episode "Muse" as Layna, the alien actress who portrayed Seven of Nine in Kelis' plays based on Torres' stories.
Waymire had been performing at Los Angeles' 24th Street Theatre in the acclaimed production of the play "Kate Crackernuts," playing one of the leads, Anne. The cast and crew of the show dedicated the production to her, issuing the following statement: "We dedicate this production of 'Kate Crackernuts' to Kellie Waymire, for without her genius and professionalism, we never could have created this kooky world of 'Kate.' In the spirit and tradition of theatre, the show must go on and we know that Kellie will be with us tonight and every night."
Waymire held a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas and graduated in 1993 from University of California, San Diego with a Masters of Fine Arts.
Besides Enterprise, her film and television credits include NYPD Blue, Six Feet Under, CSI, The Pitts and Friends. Her recent film credits include "Something More" with Tony Shalhoub and "The Vest." Her theatre credits include "American Book of the Dead" for Circle X Theatre Company, "The Man Who Had All the Luck" for Anteus and "On the Jump" at South Coast Repertory.
Kellie talked fondly of her experiences working on Star Trek and held the cast and crew in high regard. "Everybody was so warm and inviting, I really felt like I was part of the cast," she said in a 2002 interview with STARTREK.COM.
We extend our condolences to family and friends of Kellie, as well as the cast, crew and all others who have had the pleasure of working with her professionally. We will all miss her deeply.

I liked this ep a lot. My initial reaction was like everyone else's " A WESTERN ?" but it worked out really well. It was great to get away from all the xindi stuff that never ends! I bet all the guys had fun playin' cowboys!
I thought it was interesting that the humans on that planet were taken as slaves from earth. when exactly did that happen? They said 300 years ago? from StarTrek's present time?? But the humans were still in a western era?!? Hmm! I liked the twist on how the Humans didn't stand for being slaves but it was messed up that they inturn became agressors.
Anyway...Next's weeks ep is a shocker!! How the heck could Trip have a baby and what the, who the, WHY is he being killed off and it better be like some fake " He's not really dead the baby is his cloned self and he'll grow and be 35 yrs by next weeks episode!!" Kind of thing!!

Q: Now that T'Pol is resigned from the High Command, will we see her exploring with emotions. More specifically, with Archer?
TrekkieMom
SB: I think we will see her exploring more. Certainly she's not as tied into her people, so I think by nature she's looking for more for relationships, and more willing to extend herself to humans. Certainly our relationship continues to grow and deepen, as does her relationship with Trip.

Q: Many people have felt that the show has had a much darker tone to it than the original Star Trek series did in the past. Do you think that there's any possibility of any cheerful, fantastical themes done this season or in the future that may recapture this light-heartedness? By the way, love the work you guys are doing on Enterprise.
Laura
SB: Well, I think we're at a point where the mission is more important than anything, right now. And once this mission is resolved, I think we'll be able to head back into a lighter phase. Certainly we've had many episodes prior to this season that have had a lighter energy about them. And I believe that we will have them again this year.

- Some info from Startrek.com about a new ep & a CHAT session on startrek.com with Scott Bakula!! -- Computer Geek!, 02:45:40 11/11/03 Tue
Scott Bakula ("Captain Archer") makes another triumphant return to STARTREK.COM on Wednesday, November 19 to talk about the latest episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise. (The time of the chat is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Pacific Time, but that may be a bit flexible given his shooting schedule. We advise that you check back on the morning of the chat for a confirmed time.) Airing on that day will be "Similitude," an episode that Scott has already singled out as a one of Enterprise's best:
"'Similitude' is a very interesting script by a new writer, Manny Coto, and it involves an explosion on the ship that gravely injures Trip, and an effort to clone Trip in order to replace the part of his brain that's been damaged. I don't want to give too much more away about it, because it's really interesting and deals with a lot of topical issues dealing with cloning, but I will say again it's one of our best scripts in three years. And a great episode for Connor [Trinneer]." Chat transcript from Oct. 1, 2003

Archer and T'Pol -- talon, 00:41:02 11/06/03 Thu
No way. Tonight's episode defies logic.
We all know T'Pol is loyal and appreciative of Archer for letting her stay on Enterprise, but come on
Does anyone really believe she would allow herself to become Archer's nursemaid for the next twenty to forty years
I realize that Vulcans live a long life, but somehow I don't think she would throw away 20 -30 years.
Besides any time she goes anywhere with Archer she gets hurt.
This year it was morphing into another species on the planet.
Next it was going insane on the ship.
Then we had the time Archer brings back the blond bimbo. She suffered at her hands/
Lets not forget Archer had her spend time with Tolaris and the mind meld.
She got shot by renegades on the planet with the Andorians while trying to protect a senior Vulcan officer.
She needs to stay away from Archer, all she does is get hurt.
She should stay with Tucker and their neuropressure sessions.
Tucker knows her. He tweeks her emotions which makes her feel good.
She enjoys his touch and the social contact that they bring to each other in an otherwise lonely world for them both.
He encourages her to be who she wants not someone that the VHC wants her to be.
I guess the overall point of this episode was to keep open the three relationship of the senior officers.
Tucker/T'Pol, Archer/T'Pol, and Tucker/Archer.

One thing that was better this time for once was the communicators. I only watched the 2nd half so I could be wrong on that. Did stephen culp speak anymore than 2 words? I kinda wished there would have been some arguing on who was in charge (was there any? ). Next Ep looks really good.Maybe the real writers of the show came back from a long summer break and the show will get back to the real ST:enterprise. In the previews for next week,I noticed that Archer has grey hair and t'pol had a different hair do'. Then she's wearing a uniform instead of her usual clothes. HMMMmmm.....what's up? Where as a possible T'Pol/archer might have appeared possible during the second season
it never would have come about for the reasons she would never get involve with the Captain of the ship, plus why would she want to be involved with someone who hates her people and her culture.
Besides in all the different Star Trek shows the Captain never has gotten involve with a member of their crew.
archer only wants her because the Vulcans want her back. He will fight the Vulcans any way he can.
besides since the first episode when they had Tuckerand T'Pol rubbing gel on each other's back they have been destine to be together.
This season they have been put together with the imtimate neuropressure reserved for bondmates.
Tucker is the only one that truly accepts her for who she is, archer doesn't. he is a user.
you have the beginning of a good story if you move it T'Pol examining her feelings for Tucker while they share neuropressure treatment.
There must be a reason why she is doing it.
Afterall it was Tucker who told her that she could be anyone she wanted to be whil she's on the enterprise.
And besides Tucker will do what she wants him to do, Archer won't. Women don't mind fighting with a mate as long as she gets what she wants in the long run.
She has Tucker hook, line and sinker.
She wants him and has him, she only has to get him to realize he wants her just as much and get him to make the move to the next level.

I found this to be an itneresting ep. We got to know Hoshi a bit better and leaned new "stuff" about The Expanse.
That siad, I've got to say that one big "problem" I have with Enterprise is that, for me, very few of the characters have much "character".
I find that Trip is the only person who comes across as a REAL person. Know what I mean? He's the most, if not the only, three dimensional character.
Being a Vulcan makes it a bit harder to flesh out T'Pol (so to speak) .... and Archer just hasn't come across as much more than a cardboard cut-out to me .... albeit one that looks very nice when in a state of partial undress! LOL!
And I find Mayweather and the security/weapons guy (see -- I dont' even reclal his NAME! LOL!) to be all that compelling.
The doctor is also interesting and seems like a real person.
Maybe it's the quality of the acting. But I'm afraid the writing has to account for a great deal of it. None of the charcters (except for Trip & Phlox) are people I *care* about. Basically, I wouldn't be shocked or all that upset if any of the others bought it during the next anomaly-incident. I just don't have any real emotional investment in them.
I really really WANT to like this show ...... but it's not easy!

"Star Trek: Enterprise" Travels Back in Time
Written 10-05-2003 by ChrisFaile
Earlier this week, MediaWeeks Mark Berman joked that its too bad Scott Bakula can't leap back into an older - and better - edition of Star Trek. Well, at least producers are trying in part to acquiese the trade writer. In the eleventh episode of the new season, Star Trek: Enterprise is boldly going
back in time. Detroit, circa 2004, to be exact.
According to official casting documents obtained by FilmJerk.com, producers for the UPN series are looking to cast a villain for an episode entitled Carpenter Street, which will film between October 10 through 20.
According to these documents, which are used by actors agents to match up their clientele with roles currently up for audition, the series is seeking a star name for a villain, a role described as being between the wide-set ages of 25 and 40. This as-yet-unnamed guest star serves as the impetus for bringing the fleets lead characters back to the Motor City. He is described as slimy, contemporary, and urban petty criminal.
According to TrekWeb, the episodes focuses on a Xindi agent in Detroit must be stopped from funneling unsuspecting people to their deaths, using a blood bank as a cover. According to the news item there, Archer and T'Pol must travel back in time to stop him. It is unknown at this time how the unnamed villain above plays into this plot.
While in scenic Detroit, the series stars will encounter a pair of prostitutes, a panhandler, police officers and an impoverished and wheelchair-bound middle-aged man named Strode.
Last Wednesdays episode of the series came in sixth among the major broadcast networks (out of six), drawing 4.52 million viewers.
The Scorecard
Producers: Rick Berman and Brannon Braga
Director: Mike Vejar
Casting Directors: Junie Lowry Johnson and Ron Surma
Shoot dates: 10/10-10/20
Location: Los Angeles
Production Company: Paramount
Network: UPN

Did anyone else think that the Vulcan ship looked an awful lot like a Borg cube without the regeneration stuff and the green lights? The light flashes and sounds were even the same. Just thought it interesting how sets are reused. Also, once the decision was made to blow up the ship, WHY did they keep their weapons on stun? They had already made the decision to kill them all, why not increase the odds that the ENT crew would make it out alive?
Creepy Vulcans was also very good. I thought it was a good example for Archer to realize what exactly is under all of that Vulcan control. He definitely underestimated the potential for T'Pol to lose control.

Lu's thougtzzzzzz on tonights episode -- Luoodles, 21:24:06 10/01/03 Wed
You know, I liked this WAY more then I was anticipating. LOL! The previews sort of turned me off, but I have to say tonight's story was better then what we've seen. Certainly much more so then last season's eps.
I DO have to say that EVEN THOUGH I'm a Trip/ToPol shipper.. this "sleep therapy" thing is getting a tad rediculous. Hubby and I have taken to groaning every time it comes on. Having said that, I like the continuity from one ep to the next.
O.K. A few comments and I'll see if I can coax this thing to post.
They need better guns! LOL! A zat gun or SOMETHING! LOL! That was a pretty cool alien weapon. THe one that shot the wad of gummy stuff and then sort of had the shot gun effect? That was different.
I was pretty surprised that ToPol was overcome so easily. I thought Vulcans were supposed to be much tougher and resisant, etc. Of course the doc DID say she survived the attack when a human would not have. I guess my point is I'm surprised she allowed herself to get... compromised? in the first place.
Oh.. and last comment... Tank tops are apparently making a come back! LOL!

I liked the 'rebuilding a society' take on the virus, but thought burning them alive was really ickky. Loved the 'city'--It was beautiful..I want to vacation there! There are some great archelogical digs for some budding arch. student to work on--maybe Daniel Jackson(SG1) can take a break & check them out. Hated that the Vulcans have yet another superior thing going, over the humans and other species out there.
Was Phlox immune??? Isn't Reed the security guy? How could Archer/T'Pol take him on? He should be better trained than they. And why does the virus make them revert to primitive form--that society was much more advanced than the current people around there......
These and more questions were raised at our house. Any answers out there? Theroies?

Well Lisa (aka LiJo =) made sure to give links to everyone's pages over at the reading corner board, and I realized I'd never come to check out your board!!!
I'm unfortunately not into Enterprise (well, if I had more time and had actually ever even seen it I might be...) but I still needed to come and visit your board... (I'm an equal opportunity visitor, I go to Lu's board despite not watching anything with RDA in it =)
Anyway, lovely board, and who knows if I ever have enough time to watch more tv than I do, I might be back as a fan, lol!!
Take Care everyone! (PS I hope this doesn't take up too much board space for just a little "Hi" message, if so..sorry feel free to delete =)

Season Premiere -- Verticia, 15:01:26 09/13/03 Sat
Glad to find this message board. There used to be an Enterprise mailing list, but it never really seemed to get going.
I liked the original theme music better myself, but my DH and two kids all liked the new version better. So what do I know? < lol >
Anyway, I really liked this season premiere. It looks to be a very intriguing new season with lots of possibilities and strange new aliens. I hope they deliver on the promise.
Now, to the *real* reason I posted! < Took me long enough, huh? > Anyway, to those who missed it on Wednesday, I know that on the East Coast anyway, the season premiere is being rerun TONIGHT - Saturday, September 13, at 6 p.m. I assume it will be rerun in other areas of the country as well, although the timing may be different. So check your TV Guides and find out when it will be on in your area. It was a really good episode and well worth catching in its entirety. I think it will also make it easier for you to follow the rest of the season - much background info was given.

- Tonight's season premier ........ -- Michelle, 21:13:53 09/10/03 Wed
Well ....... they *could* be off to a good start. I like a mystery/consipracy thing as much (or even MORE than) the next person ..... and I am intrigued by that "Council" and who they are and what their agenda is and all ......
I like the addition of Stephen Culp as the new residnet military commander-guy ---- he's always worth watching and having them aboard appears to be, among other things, a way of injecting a little tension abord ship.
A couple of things I don't like ---- the new arrangement for the opening music theme. I liked the less pop-rock version from last season MUCH better.
And T'Pol.
sigh
I just can NOT take her all that seriously when she's wearing what amounts to a coat of spray paint. And personally, if they're going to do semi-nude shots of any of the crew, *I* vote for the Captain.

- Who does T'Pol want -- talon, 00:20:05 11/07/02 Thu
It appear early in the first season that the focus of T'Pol attention would be on Trip. That she would joust verbally with him, work with him, etc.....
But as the first season ended and early in this season they have put her more in touch with Archer. Spending more time with him, missions with him, and even trusting him
I thought it more interesting when she was paired off with Trip. It seemed more reasonable.

And I'm going to speak up as a lone T'Pol/Archer shipper. ~hides in the corner~ Personally, I find this relationship more logical in a lot of ways (which I could enumerate if asked), not the least of which is the fact that her sense of propriety is not likely to allow her to form an attachment with a subordinate. Definitly a better uniform.
Never noticed before, but Archer is quite boll legged.
Must be all the years he thought he was getting shafted. lol
Malcolm was quite impress with Hoshi's skill with the pulse weapon.
I can picture her saying "I have a very good ear for listening and understanding, Why wouldn't you have thought I would have difficulty understanding what you had to say.

- A great new ep.... -- T'Karen, 20:59:46 09/18/02 Wed
A few thoughts about a great ep......
"The Vulcan Science Director has determined.. " Poor tourtured T'Pol. Hoshi the whining, wonder wimp strikes again! Ya gotta love someone who can save the day while complaining and losing their shirt. Is it just me or was T'Pol unusually passive in this episode even for a Vulcan? All right, she finally hit someone! The old bait and switch tactic with time travel device and the warp and engine was a good one. Although I seem to remember a similar, "we're going to overload the warp engine so you better get off our ship," tactic being used in an ep of TNG.
Alright T'Pol! Way to back up the captain!
Quotes of the Week- "I said, 'You're an ugly bastard!" This qualifies as one the best entrances I have seen.
"I still don't believe in time travel." " The hell you don't!"
"Learning from mistakes is hardly exculsive to humans."
Oh and next weeks ep. looks good.
You know it is good to have them back.

- The whole Klingon thing -- John, 15:32:39 07/18/02 Thu
I don't know if this has already been discussed but I'll say it anyway...
I was slightly annoyed that Klingons in Enterprise have all the ridges on their foreheads. It would have been much better to have Klingons similar to those in the Original series. In the DS9 episode (I think it was called 'Trials and Tribbleations') the characters picked up on the fact that the klingons of this time had no ridges. Worf did not divulge any info on the subject. Therefore, Enterprise does not correspond with this DS9 episode nor the original series.

- Hey! They stole my idea for "kinder, gentler" Vulcans! -- Frances, 07:25:01 02/21/02 Thu
I came up with this theory that the Vulcans shipped off this bunch of non-comformist types(artisits, musicans, etc)to parts unknown and now have this "dirty" little secret that they don't want to come out. Their planet was made up of happy, laid-back artisitic types. The Vulcan are sooo embarassed by them, they pretend they don't exist. they were called "Quartellians" or something like that. Good, old "Startrekken", my old fan club!
Can I sue for idea infringement? Or is there a thought police for this?
Actually, there are no new ideas, just recyclyed ones!
[ Post a Reply to this Message ][ Edit | View ]

- I say sue! LOL! I relaly liked Trip's interaction with the chubby Vulcan and the thing about that guy's father. The T'Pol stuff was interesting too. And it showed that one needn't be shown blood & guts to depict "violence" ---- T'Pol was raped, plain & simple. It was a disturbing scene. But very well-done. (NT) -- MichelleB, 15:05:03 03/03/02 Sun
- That really was a disturbing scene- It was a mental rape & his heavy breathing was very disturbing. I wasn't sure I liked their view of "feeling" Vulcans-Are they really such "animals" that they need to repress all emoition. Or are they a little like us, some need a "control" on their emoitions & some can do it naturally. Which is why I'm glad they showed 2 types of Vulcans, the engineer(who had a grip, but was "human") and the rapist, who was out to get his jollies, no matter who he hurt or what. (NT) -- Frances, 06:40:09 03/04/02 Mon
- Also, Why didn't Archer arrested & try whatshis name? I hope he warned his crew members-so he will never be able to do it again. It was doubly cruel-he hit her trust factor and shut down her research into the emoitions. Bad, Nasty boy-needs a lobotomy. (NT) -- Frances(I ran over), 06:48:18 03/04/02 Mon

- Enterprise Theme Song -- Baltesrock, 20:47:25 03/01/02 Fri
What do people think of the Enterprise Theme Song? From day one I was horrified at how inappropriate it felt. I love the images of the intro, but I still wince in pain whenever I can't get to the mute button fast enough. Great show, but tell me where the petition to replace that song is and I'm one John Hancocking mofo.

- I really like the theme song! Just heard it--can't hear it enough! (NT) -- PB, enjoying the variety of opinions, 21:36:00 03/02/02 Sat
- I know that many many people feel the same way you do --- but I'm not one of them. Yes -- it's a bit "hokey" ..... but I like it. Why do you find it "inappropriate"? I think the lyrics are pretty good and relevant to how they're tellig the story --- you know --- how the Vulcans have "put the lid on" the humans since they acheived warp? Why don't you like it? And what do you think of the series itself?. (NT) -- MichelleB, 15:02:45 03/03/02 Sun
- OK, I heard it being played at my dentist's office yesterday- Not bad as a ballad. Still it was a shock, but not as big as one as hearing "Relax When You Come" in a Wendy's! (NT) -- Frances, 07:06:47 03/19/02 Tue
- Well, to quote from my other favorite show, JAG, "Free your mind." The whole idea of Enterprise from the beginning was to be very different from other Treks. So why not go with a whole new look and feel for the intro? I absolutely adore the opening credits and have from Day One. I love the song, and I love the pictures that go with it. It's an awesome way to open the show - give us the history of space travel and a song that gets to the heart of Enterprise. I've only got two thumbs or I'd give it more 'thumbs-up' than that. O.K. I am confused.... -- Lost and Spacie, 07:51:23 02/15/02 Fri
It seemed this weeks ep sort of left some questions unanswered for me.
1. WHAT was the wreckage they saw on the asteroid????
2. What about those little whatchacallits ToPol was talking about that Captain R poo pooed? Was that what caused the shuttle to wreck?
3. Are we supposed to believe that the shuttle bay door being knocked off was the "wreckage" Trip and what's his name saw, concluding the ENTIRE SHIP HAD CRASHED?
4. WHAT made the enterprise speed up to get there in time? Did they SEE THE EXPLOSION Trip set off?
Things I liked but... LOL
1. Who here wants a MICROWAVE like they have! LOLOL!!! You put it in.. DING.. you eat. LOL!
2. The weapons guy dream about ToPol LOLOLOL!!! TOO funny.. and then the later part when they are drunk talking about her bum. LOLOL!
Shipper notes:
1. I was a bit disappointed that Trip didn't acknowledge ToPol in any type of Shipper way... but... LOL! I'm used to it by now w/ JAG.. so... I still stick w/ my Shipper hope that they will eventually get together.
TUOODLES!

- I got the impression that the wreckage belonged to the "guests" that Hoshea and Archer talked about. I felt like I was missing parts of this one as the micro-dudes that T'Pol talked about were never resolved, we never knew how the wreckage got there or why they thought it was the E, why Trip and Stinky were out there to begin with, why the LT wanted to be called Stinky, who the Burbon gift was intended for..... I think the E did see the explosion they set off. In sick bay they said, "It was hard to miss." (NT) -- PB, 21:10:58 02/15/02 Fri
