Subject: Interesting twist to the 'regress the human' bit.....

I liked the 'rebuilding a society' take on the virus, but thought burning them alive was really ickky. Loved the 'city'--It was beautiful..I want to vacation there! There are some great archelogical digs for some budding arch. student to work on--maybe Daniel Jackson(SG1) can take a break & check them out. Hated that the Vulcans have yet another superior thing going, over the humans and other species out there.
Was Phlox immune??? Isn't Reed the security guy? How could Archer/T'Pol take him on? He should be better trained than they. And why does the virus make them revert to primitive form--that society was much more advanced than the current people around there......
These and more questions were raised at our house. Any answers out there? Theroies?

[> I thought the premise was interesting too. As to what'shisname ---- the "security guy" ... isn't he more something of a "weapons guy"? And aren't Vulcans supposed to be much stronger than humans? And I can imagine Archer making darn sure that HE'S every bit as trained in fighting & whatnot as any of the people under his command. I love the idea of Daniel Jackson showing up to poke around the ruins! As for the "others" being primitive? Well, WERE they really? They were different, sure --- ....... -- Michelle (.... but I guess my bottomline answer is that the virus could make physical changes and *some* other things, but couldn't transplant a whole culture. At least that's MY theory!), 21:48:26 09/30/03 Tue
