I thought the premise was interesting too. As to what'shisname ---- the "security guy" ... isn't he more something of a "weapons guy"? And aren't Vulcans supposed to be much stronger than humans? And I can imagine Archer making darn sure that HE'S every bit as trained in fighting & whatnot as any of the people under his command. I love the idea of Daniel Jackson showing up to poke around the ruins! As for the "others" being primitive? Well, WERE they really?
