Subject: Sooooooo! The Vulcans are sneaky little so and so's!

This ep was pretty good.

I am lilking Trip more and more. Archer needs some work, though. I don't know --- I just am not warming up to him...OR T'Pol.

Spock had that eyebrow thing he did to kind of show what he was feeling without him having to show feelings....if you know what I mean. T'Pol comes across as a robot.

The Andorian's antennae were pretty cool. And rather creepy!

My thoughts, too. I adore Trip. He's wonderful. He's the HUMAN human. I felt this way about McCoy, too, but Trip is hot into the bargain. He says the things I want to say!

And T'Pol--good on her for realizing Vulcans aren't perfect, and siding with the captain.

ITA with whoever would like to see Trip warm T'Pol up. She sure needs it. She SEEMS to be getting better, but her snotty comments about smelly humans made me want to smack her. I sense great chemistry between the two characters. They need to exploit it, for sure.

Archer is getting better. I thought he was better in this one, since he had a more macho role, and showed his protectiveness toward T'Pol. SB is a great actor, and I have faith his character will become better developed. After all, Kirk's only angst was whether he'd sleep with the next Bodacious Alien Babe to come along!

[> LOL Michy! ITA about the antennae...I found myself watching ITS movements rather than the Andorian's faces! LOL! Very distracting... And as for Trip...I really like him too...the cynicism doesn't really bother me at all, LOL! As for Archer...I really don't know why...perhaps I'm comparing him to Picard...but he lacks that...I don't...aura of a leader??? Just a thought...As for T'Pol...well...I don't know...the way she jerked the blanket away from Archer seemed very unrobot-like! LOL! -- Canrane, 17:51:45 11/01/01 Thu

[> [> ITA agree with you, Canrane....about Archer. He does seem to lack a commanding presence. He's not like Picard or Kirk...they exuded authority...they had a certain air of command about them. Having said all that..I still like Archer. But my favorite ones are the doctor and Trip. -- LisaR, 00:07:44 11/04/01 Sun

[> ITA about Trip. I love his attitude. T'Pol's best scene's have actually been with him. They play off each other like Spock and Bones. Trip needs a line like the famous, "Dammit Jim, I'm a Doctor not a.... " And just once I want the Doctor to say, "He's dead John." LOL. ITA about Archer. S.B. is capable of a lot more. What Archer needs is some real angst. On Q.L. he was never better than the episode where Sam leaped home and tried to save his family from the bad things that were awaiting them. He needs something meaty like that to work with. It wouldn't hurt if Dean Stockwell guest starred either. They were terrific together. -- T'Karen (still holding out a little hope for Trip and T'Pol- potentially a great pair if the writing is good), 05:19:12 11/02/01 Fri

Sorry about this repeat! I didn't know we had to post in the subject line. I wish there was an easier way to read all the messages.

[> [> Okay people are going to think I am weird but here goes... I actually have a little thing for Bones. DK didn't age very well but during the run of the original Trek he was actually reasonably good looking. Most of all I just loved Mcoy. Spock provided the logic and Kirk provided the courage but Bones provided the concience. Len. Nimoy once said that in Shakespearen terms, "Spock would say, to be, Mcoy would say, not to be, and Kirk would say, that is the question." I loved that! -- T'Karen (now wants to reread Hamlet and watch Trek- LOL!), 17:14:05 11/05/01 Mon
