有一天下午放學後，有一位老師問我「拔尖保底」的英譯是什麼。當我百思不得其解時，碰巧看見他在三樓，便連忙走上去向他請教。

他不假思索地便告訴我說這名詞並沒有英譯，如必須譯，可譯作「Catering for student differences」（心雲大師，請法正）。

為何他那樣權威，因為未調來質素保證處他本來是英文組的首席督學，即英文組的最高地位者。
