He could barely hear her when she spoke from where he was so he stood up, wrapping one hand around the arm of the chair to drag it over beside the bed. His eyes moved down to her stomach, noting the slight swell there - she was still to damn skinny, it was unhealthy for both her and the baby - and the way her hand caressed it. Maybe she wanted the kid after all though she hadn't shown much consideration to it before. His brow furrowed as he sat back down, his index finger slipping between the covers of the manilla folder he was holding. "How are you feeling?" It was a prequisite to ask someone that if they were hooked up to IV'S right? It was better than asking 'So...you uncrazy yet?'. At least he had some tact. Sitting back down, he went back to his casual posture, slouched down, his eyes leveled on her. He was clad in his usual sleek tailored suit sans a tie because he hated them and a tiny earing in his ear because courtney had discovered a week ago the tiny hole in his ear and demanded he be 'bad ass' and wear it again. When she was wearing just one of his button ups that was barely buttoned...well, he could resist her nothing. His head was cocked to the side in the usual fashion, his blue eyes on her looking even brighter than usual thanks to his bright blue shirt...
