(He furrowed his brow as he heard the first lick of music from his cell phone, not altogether sure he had really heard it. He reached for the knob on the stereo and turned it down, then grunted and reached for his phone where it was hung on the dash. When he saw Shay's number he felt both a touch of concern and a touch of happiness.. he loved talking with Shay.. and yet with times as they were he couldn't help but be concerned about her calling. He flipped open the phone and brought it up to his ear.) Sweet baby Shay.. what's goin' on? (He said in that sing-songy sort of greeting he had for her. And still.. his heart was racing and it was all he could to not out and ask her what was wrong..)
