Subject: Happy Mothers Day!

Hello, sorry I've been slow in responding. Had a fraught week or two. My lovely daughter was in hospital for three days, with an undiagnosed illness.. had all sorts of tests including lumbar puncture (Ouchhh!) but everything came back clear, and they don't know if it was some sort of viral infection or what. Then a few days ago, my brothers Mom-in Law. Beth died. She was 91 and 'ready to go" but still painful for the family. I met Beth when I was in Canada, a lovely, lovely lady.
Apart from that I've been really busy with play rehearsals.. only a month to go and it's getting fraught!
Steve, the director, has that glassy eyed look!
Wishing all Moms and grandmothers a lovely day with family, celebrate!
Hugs to all,
Ellie.

Hi Ellie,

Thank you for your posting on Mother's Day. Wishing all a Happy Mother's day too.

I am sorry to hear that your daughter was so sick that she had to be in the hospital. It sounds like it could have been a bad viral infection. You must have been so stressed out with worry. Thank goodness all were tests were normal.

I am also sorry to hear about your brother's Mom-in Law. Some how it does not matter if someone is older, the pain for the family is still there when one passes away. We are never quite ready for the sad news.

We have been having 2 continuous days of pouring rain and flooding in areas. It is cold and raw outside too. I have to take my golf umbrella along whenever I take my dog outside as my back yard is soaking wet. We usually head up the street on the sidewalk for our very short walk.

I am going out to dinner with my daughter, sister and close friend to celebrate Mother's day. Today is very special as it is my daughter's first Mother's day. What a wonderful celebration as my daughter finally (after 12 years) had my beautiful granddaughter, Kaitlyn. We are all truly blessed.

My son from Florida called and put my other 2 granddaughters on the phone. He had sent a beautiful arrangement of roses and orchid colored flowers with lavender baby's breath and greens.

My other son who lives out west, called to send his best wishes on Mother's day.

I wish all a good day with family and friends.

Best wishes,
Phyllis
