Subject: Busy Last 2 Weeks

Hi Ellie & Tina,

My daughter's babysitter has been on vacation this week, so I have been sitting several days a week. Kaitlyn is walking now and is very active. I try to take her for a carriage ride early in the A.M. provided the weather is not too hot. We are having very humid weather this week and it is expected to continue until next week.

The heat really wears the dog out. He has been waking up around 5:00 a.m. and I have to walk him on a leash because he cannot go down the back steps. It really is too steep to put a ramp in the back of the house which leads into the fenced in yard. I do have a ramp in the front the house which goes onto the sidewalk, so I can use this until the snow falls.

Both my sons flew home for a surprise visit for a few days and it was so wonderful to see them. This was the first time that my son from Florida saw Kaitlyn. My other son who lives in Colorado(my daughter's twin) has been home twice since Kaitlyn was born. My daughter's husband had two cookouts and it was so very special for all of us to be together visiting. It was the best surprise of all!

I read both your posting and have never heard about the hodgepot soup. It sounds like it would be tasty.

I hope everyone and their loved ones are all well. The summer is going by too fast. It is almost August already.
Ellie, how long does your winter last?

Sending my best.
Phyllis

My computer was acting weird for a few days-got it fixed but have to do a little more work to get it back like it was.Lost some programs, but I am spending a lot of time at the lake.Neighbor took me for a 3 hour boat ride starting at 6 on Sunday morning..it was so beautiful.Saturday night some fellow on the other side of the lake must have more money than brains..he put on a 2 hour steady fireworks show equal to what you would see at disney, it was really beautiful.
Phyllis our weather this past 2 weeks has been great, I see on tv you are likely to get a heat wave today..I hope you don't
I am doing ok from my chemo that I had Friday..had a good week end but the effects of the chemo are hitting me a bit today..very shakey and achy. Now I get a scan before Aug 18 if the chemo is not doing me any good they will stop it.If it is showing signs of working they will continue for 3 more months.
I hope all is going well for you Ellie, is it rest between plays now? Or are you still at it? How are the kitties doing?
I am not feeling ambitious this morn so this is a short note-wanted to keep in touch. All the best ladies!
