Subject: Re Hodgepodge.

Hi Tina..Phyliss, and silent members! I don't think we have a meal called Hodgepodge Tina, but we do use that term in referring to something that is a real mess, or mix-up.
We have "Bubble and Squeak' which is English I think, love the name.. and it's a sort of fryup of already cooked potatoes, cabbage, and whatever else you have around.
You sound as tho you are enjoying your summer Tina even without being able to swim.. Hope your Husband's lake party goes well.
Well, I've been in the throes of play performances, 3 nights down, 3 more to go. We haven't had huge audiences, but those that have come have been very enthusiastic.
The biggest opening night boo-boo was mine! I'm a judge in a court scene, and I declared the proceedings open before the rest of the cast had even got on stage! ooooh! However when they were on I banged the gavel and said 'NOW I delcare the preceedings open!" Steve, the director said it was a good recovery!
Still very cold, grey and dreary here.I hate intense heat, but I would like to see just a LITTLE bit of sunshine!
Thoughts to all,
Ellie.

Hope your audiences have increased, I am sure what you class as a booboo looked perfectly normal to the audience..just added a second of suspense-lol
Bubble and squeak is such a cute name for left overs refried.
Neighbors "Christmas in July party" was a great hit as usual and hubbies birthday party was wonderful. Our daughters had found some of his working buddies from years ago, we were pleasantly surprised to see them and their families,One reminded Ralston of the time when the song "I'm Henry the eighth I am" first came out and Ralston thought it was Henry the ape so he was singing in the shower "I'm Henry the ape I am" He was surprised and a bit red faced when they teased him about it at the party after all those years.
My, it is hot and "sticky" feeling here and it is only 6:30 in the morning..we will all feel like boiled lobsters later today and raising the power bill with our air conditioners.
Yesterday a friend took me to dinner and today a sister-in-law wants to take me to dinner...are they trying to fatten me up for the kill? lol
I should not mention the horrors of war but who can get it off their minds the way things are going, so many lives gone because we don't know how to handle the gifts on this earth that God gave us.
Things will be getting very expensive to buy and some things very scarce, a lot of people around here have stopped a lot of their un-neccessary spending because gas is putting a big dent in their pockets.
Hopefully things will calm down shortly.
