Subject: just meandering...

Yesterday was our first "heat wave" day of the summer,I still wasn't feeling well enough from my last chemo to go to the lake although I think I am safe to go today.I spent yesterday in the living room with the air cond on except for a while when there was a breeze I sat out by the pond watching the damsel flies eating smaller bugs..real productive don't you think? Oh well I also listened to the little red squirrels chirping "we don't have the larger squirrels here that are in the rest of Canada"just the little red ones who I am sure can eat as much as the big ones, I think I mentioned before that I buy 2 $8. bags of cracked corn a month to feed the wild ducks, now 3 big ravens come to eat with the dining ducks, one of which has
an attachment to me, if I sit on the front patio he or she sits on the maple tree above my head and I swear he is trying to talk to me.
So much for my wild friends..did I tell you last Sunday at the lake my neighbor took me for a 3 hour drive around the lake in her comphy seated boat? Oh I loved it so much and miss the days when we had a boat.I am so happy for you Ellie and Phyllis that you are having nice times with your families.I have been so blessed that all mine live within an 18 mile radius of home with the exception of 2 grandchildren living an hours drive from here.
This last chemo gave me a few days of "pure hell" my second worse reaction.Aug 17 I get a scan and if chemo is not working they take me off it, if it is working they continue this series. If I have mentioned this before forgive me- I think my brain is scrambled this week.
It is now 7:30 am , I am going to take my bath and then go to the lake for 2 days, hubby is staying home with Brandi the dog, she will be 14 in Oct and the only pet we have left. Those that have been given to family members are doing fine but we kept Brandi because Ralston can handle her well, she is a beautiful tri-colored part border collie and part german shep.Have a great week everyone and thanks so much for your friendships.
