Subject: A Quick Hello..

Quick because it's late at night and I'm tired.LOL! Lovely to read your news, Phyliss re Caitlin's christening,Tina.. out doing your usual lovely things..Sorry the last lot of chemo made you feel so bad.
I've been back and forward to hospital outpatients for tests, nothing drastic, just usual procedure as I have to have cataract surgery on my right eye.
Also I'm back at work (the same place that I left at the end of Feb after 8 years) Boss rang and asked me if I would consider coming back, just one day one week, and two days the next, so... what I'm working as now is a garden supervisor on a community garden program. With some volunteers I've' been planting tomatoes, corn, radishes,
carrots, lettuce etc, also lots of different herbs.
This weekend I'm heading away to a weekend writing conference in the country. We stay at a hotel for 2 nights, and go to the writing workshops Saturday and Sunday. It's really nice to get together with a bunch of other writers, and nice to 'holiday' in a hotel even just for 2 days.
More about that later I guess..!
Take care everyone.
Ellie.

Ellie you'll be so surprised after your cataract surgery,
my husband had one eye done one year and the other one the next year and he still remarks how wonderful his vision is now although he did not realize how bad his vision was until after it was corrected.
OOOh gardening, how wonderful ! Hope the weather is favarable for a very successful crop!
Your writers group sounds like so much fun and so productive.I wish you a wonderful time.
Phyllis is also having a busy wonderful time, we are lucky ladies.

Hi Tina & Ellie,

I just read both your last postings.

Tina,

I too am sorry that you were under the weather from your last chemo treatment. I am glad that you are feeling back to your normal self. I think of you each day and enjoy reading about your family gatherings and all that you do for others.

Ellie,

My friend, Nancy had both eyes done 3 weeks apart and she can see very well now. I will also need cataract surgery on my rt.eye in the future. I continue to go to my eye doctor every 6 months. He tells me that it is a very slow growing cataract. I am in no hurry because of my schedule and my dog that needs a lot of care.

It great that your old boss asked you to work on a special project. I know that you will enjoy it. How nice that you are going to a writing workshop and will be staying at a hotel. It will be good for you to spend time with others that share your passion for writing.

I have today off and need to catch up on some home projects.
I am trying to get things done before winter weather sets in. It is raining today and the leaves are falling. Our city picks them up if we rake them to the front of our street. They only do it for a short time period. I also have ordered 7 more windows for my downstairs apartment. I am trying to do some each year. I had 4 replaced last year.
I still have 5 more to go, then I will have replaced all of them expect the 2 cellar windows.

I hope you both have a good week.

Phyllis
