Subject: Belated Happy Thanksgiving..

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Australia.. not that we are an ungrateful lot! It's just not an Australian custom, (like Halloween) but I hope those that did had a lovely time.
Xmas is creepinh up. Nearly finished my shopping! We give gifts to the babies, but the adult family Kris kringle.. so much easier and less expensive for everyone.
Lunched on in a lovely cafe/bookdhop called 'Volumes' yesterday with my longest time friend,(since I was 16 and she 18_ Plus, my daughter, daughter in law, grandaughter, and the 2 darling girl babies..Jemillah 15 months, Matilda ten months/Had a lovely 'all girl' time together.. and a nice lunch as well!
Ellie.

Well Ellie it seems as if you and your family and friend had a thanksgiving celebration even if your country doesn't
have a thanksgiving day.
We have a bookstore in town that is a converted old house, all the walls in every room are lined with books except one room has books only on one wall, the rest of the room is for sitting and eating their delicious biscuits, having tea/coffee or homemade soup.Great place to sit a while and chat or if alone read.
For the time of year it is still rather mild here, no snow yet but where your brother lives I think they had lots of snow. Still can go out in a jacket not made for winter but that can change overnight.
My youngest daughter and her man gave us an early Christmas
presant, one side of my kitchen I hated, they made it over and painted it and now I love it.It was an awful lot of work for them but I really appreciate it.Love that kind of Christmas gift, can enjoy it every day!
