Hello Ellie & Tina,

Ellie, what a happy way to spend the New Year with your son and family. It must have been so much fun to share this time with your beautiful grandchildren.

How strange that you have snow. We have been very fortunate from my point of view, to have not had any major snowstorms yet. I know the skiers and snowplow industry would love to make up for this slow start to New England winters. However, I really appreciate being able to take Rufus outside and not worry about slipping and falling on snow covered sidewalks. Rufus (age 14 and 10 months old) has trouble going up stairs and I have been able to use the ramp which is a very long one and not good once the snow falls.

Tina, You must miss the snow but I'm sure that our turn is coming soon.

I went out to lunch with an old friend whom I use to work with. Her husband had hip surgery and was at our local hospital so she was in town visiting him. It was so good to see her.

My granddaughters in Florida asked their dad to call their grandmother as they told him they miss me. I am not planning any trips to Florida any time soon and missed both their birthdays. Ariana is 5 and Athena is 3.

Kaitlyn is 19 months old today. Thank goodness I have her nearby.

Wishing you both a good week.

Phyllis
