Subject: busy bees

My we are busy bees but I decided to do a bit of buzzing here. First it was Christmas shopping,wrapping,baking,decorating,then Christmas parties,visiting,being visited, enjoying Christmas dinner, christmas concerts,new years party,then un-decorating the house hoping no one came to visit while you had everything in disarray.Whew! busy busy but what fun!Since I did not expect to be alive for this Christmas I guess I enjoyed it extra much.Plus I have been feeling fine.
We still have no snow..oh an inch every once in a while but our ski slopes, snowmobile companies, snow plow operators etc. are having a horrible winter and now scientists are saying this may get to be the norm because of global warming but if it is global warming how come the furthest west of Canada where my old school pal lives used to have the kind of weather we are now having but this year she is having a ton of snow and lots of freezing weather.It is like we did a complete reversal.I hate to admit it but I am enjoying this change very much.Good roads for driving is the main reason for my greed!
Now that I have enjoyed all the good Christmas eating,actually I over indulged for 2 weeks but am happy to report I did not gain any weight.Perhaps this is because I got lots of exercise cleaning,decorating etc.lol
I do hope you and your families have had as good and enjoyable season as we did. My older granddaughters have I think made life more enjoyable for others because they have "adopted" children in need in other countries by sending money every month.I am so proud of them for doing so. I give to our church group that sends to the needy because I don't want to make personal committment to a child or family because at 71 I will not live long enough to fulfill a committment but can help through the group that sends to foreign aid. We also have a money path to help those in need in our area through the church and local food banks. If every little club had a food basket and if all a person could afford to donate was a can of beans, well 12 members,12 cans of beans, a drop of rain after drop of rain eventually fills a bucket.
Oh well here I am talking like a mother, worring about empty bellies, forgive..once a Mommy always a mommy-lol
