Subject: I'm sorry..

No Tina.. you are not the last woman standing LOL! I haven't been writing because it has been unbearably hot here for weeks.. 36 c got to 40 c one day, the bushfires in the north of the state burnt through power supply lines, and the power went off in 100's of 1000's of houses etc around the state. Here it was off for 4 hours.. you can guess what that was like with that scorching heat, and no method of cooling. I don't live anywhere near where I can swim. Anyway, the GREAT news is that in the last few days we've had some good amounts of rain which has helped to douse some of the fires, and the weather is now cooler.
Summer has a long way to go before it is officially over though.
So I haven't had a lot of social activity.. everyone is just flattened when it gets that hot. I did have lunch out with my 3 gals (daughter, granddaughter, and little great grandaughter) last week. The cafe was airconditioned! Other than that I've just been scuttling out for groceries and to go to the library then scuttling home again to beat the worst of the heat.
