Subject: Mainly Phyllis and Ellie

Phyllis I thought about you these past 2 days while out outside temperature was minus 26 with wind chills, that wouldn't help your aches and pains any but I do hope you are feeling better. Just the thoughts of the heat at Ellies helped keep me warm here.I did wear my warmest clothes and although I didn't have to go out or didn't need anything I went to a flea market in the closest town just 5 minute drive away.Books in the stores are so expensive so I buy them at flea markets and yesterday I was lucky to find some good books at great prices so now I have some reading material to last me for a while. My mother used to say that I was born with a book in my hand.
To make my visit more exciting I met a co-worker that I hadn't seen for thirty years..she knew me but it took a few minutes for me to register who she was.We had a good ole chat. They have a canteen at that flea market so we had coffee and a cheeseburger.
When I came home I didn't have to cook supper because we had lots of left-overs to use up so that just meant heating them so I had a good afternoon and evening of reading.
It is not quite 7 am now but I noticed when I took the dog out that it is not near as cold today as it was the last 2 days so by time to go to church it should be quite nice.I haven't taken my bath yet or decided what I will wear today but I am sure I will be picking out something nice and warm. Hopefully this afternoon I will be able to convince hubby to go to a good fish and chip eatery..I am hungry for fish and chips and there is a wonderful place just 20 minutes drive from here.Oh I know the french fries or as we call them chips are not good for you but these people make the home fries so good and give such big helpings of fish.Oh my goodness I am making myself even hungrier-lol
Ellie I do hope thing have cooled down in your area ..what do the cats make of it? Are fish and chips a popular item on the menu at restaurants there? Clams and chips and scallops and chips are just about as popular here as fish and chips. Phyllis when I was visiting in Plymouth down by where the pilgrims landed and near the wonderful wax museum there, just a block from there by the seaside was a wonderful little sidewalk cafe that served such good tasting fish and chips.Actually when we were on the Prince of Fundy sailing over we heard someone mention the place and while we were in the area decided to try the food..we were not disappointed.
Oh my I must get my mind off food and get busy with my day,
hoping you ladies and anyone else reading this has a wonderful day.
