Hi Gals,

I enjoyed reading both your posting. I have not written lately because I am "falling apart" so to speak. I have had a problem with foot pain and it continues to hurt to walk on it. I have no choice as I must walk my dog and also sit for Kaitlyn during the week. So I take Motrin and hobble along. I have an appointment this week for a second opinion with an orthopedic doctor. I also continue to have tendinitis of both hands and am wearing wrist braces during the day.

On a more lighter note, I just celebrated my birthday (Jan.16th) with my friends, Nancy and Mary. We went to a restaurant of my choice and had broiled haddock, sweet potato french fries, salad and blueberry cheese cake for dessert. I received many cards and gifts including 2 dozen of the most beautiful roses from my son in Florida. The colors are absolutely gorgeous (pink, red, yellow,some two-toned colors and a sweet fragrance),

Yes, Tina, we did get the terrible ice storm and cold, freezing weather with strong winds. I believe we are in the same weather pattern too.

Ellie, I do not know how you can cope with the extreme hot temperatures. I am glad that it is cooling off for you.

I look forward to reading about all the activities you both are involved in. I am sure that once I straighten out my
minor problems that I will increase my outside activites in addition to my regular routine.

I hope you both have a good weather and better weather.

Phyllis it is so nice to hear from you.Sorry about your foot and hand problems. Foot problems can be such a painful
experience. About 10 years ago I had Achilies heal and oh it hurt so badly for months and from there pain went to the fatty part below my toes on the bottoms of my feet.I soaked my feet in hot, hot water so much but only time stopped the problem.Mine was bought on by the fact that I had cut the arch out of my foot and when they stitched it up the flesh was drawn so tightly that I had to wear high heeled shoes because my foot wouldn't go flat enough to wear a lower heel.It took a full year for the skin to streach enough that I could wear a proper heel.But then the first problem I told you about started.I learned the hard way not to go barefooted on the beach where some nut could smash glass and leave it there.Thank heavens I have never experienced tendinites in the hands but I can feel for you.
Kind of late but happy birthday to you and I wish you a year of wonderful new experiences and renewed health with lots of happiness! The flowers and the meal must have really brightened your week! I love eating out with friends or family.
