Phyllis it sounds like you had a very enjoyable Easter with
lots of chance to chat and enjoy family and your great feast.
Here it is Friday the 13th, we were supposed to wake up to rain but instead we have a few inches of snow and big flakes still coming down,it again is the sticky kind hanging on all the branches, looking beautiful but if it stays this heavy when the wind "which is supposed to come" blows there will be lots of small and hopefully not large branches breaking off the trees again.
I had 4 deer out in the back yard nibbling away at lower branches this morning, I had my big coat on and I sat on the patio watching them, deer are getting so brave they come closer than they did years ago, they seem to sense they are only shot at in the fall.
I just hope they do not go at my Rhotodendrums "splt wrng"lol...I 4 really large rhodie trees and several small ones and love their blooms.
My wild duck population is getting too large, hate to slow down the cracked corn feedings but instead of the nice little 12 to 20 I got years ago I now get up to 100 and that is far too many for many reasons, llike too much poops, too expensive for feeding, I have been buying huge bags of cracked corn from the feed store for years. My husband loves watching them in the yard and pond from the picture window by his fav. chair.
Black oil seed and sunflower seed for the other birds, seed for my love birds, dog food, oh and I wonder sometimes where my money goes until I stop and think. Wow I have to slow down but instead the new puppy comes in a few weeks,I go up to play with him and his dog mommy doesn't mind..he lives about 20 minutes away by car, I am so anxious to get him. did I tell you his name will be Bo for the Chinese "precious one"?
Hopefully having a puppy around will perk up poor old Brandi, she seems bored with life lately and we try everything to bring back her old spark, she did have a few playful minutes a few times in the past week and 13 and 1/2 is not real old, we had dogs live to 18 plus but I don't think she will make it to that, just as well because if anything happens to us she will have to be euthanized because no one else could look after her like we do..she was an abused puppy and never forgot it so she does have certain quirks. She was a shelter dog and the only reason I am not getting a shelter puppy this time is that the want for small dogs is a mile long and I can't wait that long, they said they would put me at the top of the list but that would not be fair to other people if they treated me special...so I wil get Bo.
Shoot I didn't mean for this to turn into a book.
To you Phyllis and Ellie and anyone else..wish you good weather, lots of fun interests and good health.
