Subject: Beautiful Day in Melbourne too!

Hello Tina and Phyliss and any others.. lovely to hear your Easter news. The Autumn weather here is still beautiful, fine, sunny and blue.. but Oh.. we heed that rain! Some trees are at last starting to color their leaves, yesterday the gutters were full of golden leaves from the ginko trees, just beautiful to see. Whow, Tina, so many ducks! I only have to feed 2 cats and one goldfish!
Phyliss, what a lovely Easter celebration with family, and the meal sounded great. Good Friday afternoon some of my family got together at youngest sons home, they were just back from a holiday in England.. we had freshly baked scones with jam and cream and toasted hot cross buns.. very
more-ish. I am going up to Sydney (700 miles away) in early May to spend a few days with second son, his wife, and their 2 little boys. I'm going by train.. it's a long trip, around 12/13 hours, but I like train travel.
Have a good week.

Like you Ellie I love travel by train, on t.v. yesterday I saw a cruise ship in Sydney harbor sailing past the beautiful opera house and was wondering how far you lived from there. Now I know!
I go to church twice today, before church this morning there is a pancake breakfast in the sunday school hall"it was snowed out last week so they are having it today"I don't help them today because Tuesday I am helping feed those who can't feed themselves and the monthly birthday party at the nursing home. After church today I come home and then at 3 pm there is a healing service & I will go pray for my son who has Multiple Sclerosis and the 2 grandchildren who have cystic fibrosis and friends who are ill.
It was so nice that your family and you could get together
and the freshly baked scones sound sooo good.
Have a wonderful trip on the train and wishing you a wonderful visit.

Hi Ellie & Tina,

Ellie, how wonderful to look forward to your train trip to spend time with your son and family. I use to ride the train when I was younger to spend time with my uncle & aunt who lived in Boston, Massachusetts. We no longer have any train service here in our city. We use to have a beautiful train station within walking distance of my house but someone decided that we needed to make way for a shopping mall instead.

our scones with jam and cream and toasted hot cross buns sound awful good. I would like to be eating them today

Today we are having the first round of a Nor'Easter that is expecting to last for 1-2 days. I am looking out my window and can see the heavy wet snow falling. We may experience some power outages too. I went to the grocery store early this A.M. as I needed some salt for my ramp. Rufus (my 15 yr.old golden retriever) and I will have to use the ramp on his short walks. I am hoping we can keep from slipping on it as it is also expected that we may can freezing rain too. It is a very long and steep ramp.

I have been catching up on some reading and telephone calls today due to the weather.

Tina,

I am thinking of your son and grandchildren and pray that they will keep well. I am sure that your prayers help. I continue to keep you and many others in my nightly prayers.
From reading your postings, I know that you are so very special and kind and love all creatures and do your best to take care of them. It must be a beautiful sight to see the deer up close.

Sending my best to you gals.

Phyllis
