Subject: Catching up..

Tina, a little message re Brandi below for you. Sorry I've been a while getting back.. some home problems. So Yes, Sydney was great, beautiful fine, sunny weather, lovely being with my son, d-in law, and the 2 little boys Alexander is now 2 1/2.. Amazing vocabulary for a 2 year old, and the baby, Ben will be one in June.. such a sweetie, lovely blue eyes and he smiles and smiles.. We did lots of things, the markets, harbor walks, went to the maritime museum, some beautiful parks and gardens, and one night Darren and I went to see a play together. The train trip)s) were long.. 12 hours each way.. the day train going up was good, came back on a night train, didn't really enjoy that as I don't sleep well, or at all really, on overnight travelling.
Well, have a laugh.. my cat is STILL monopolising my computer chair.. I thought she would have given up by now!
Glad you all had a nice Mothers Day.. we had a family lunch at my daughters, which was very nice..pumpkin soup (afavorite of mine) and a wickedly delicious caramel tart with cream.. all had to go for a walk afterwards to shake off some calories!
AT LAST we are getting some good rain, and if we get followups, hopefully the drought will be declared OVER, it's lovely to see the grass all green again instead of dry and brown.Winter doesnt officially start till June 1, but the weather is much cooler.
I don't think we will get snow Tina.. in my suburb it snows like once in 100 years!
Hope you are feeling better now after the flu.
Phyliss, I hope you enjoy your Florida trip as much as I enjoyed mine to Sydney.

Ellie your trip sounds fantastic and your grandchildren a joy.Parks,harbor walks,museums,markets..my favorite way to
spend wonderful days.Growing up by the ocean has never deterred me from still loving seashore walks,dreaming by the ocean,or cruising in the harbour "in little boats".I was only once ever on a cruise ship & just from Canada to USA.I enjoy sitting on the seashore more I think than travelling on the water.Swimming was and is my lifetime passion.As I am getting older I like warm lake water more than the cool ocean water.
You have a smart cat there,she knows a good thing once she discovers it-lol
Glad you got some rain,we are getting more than we need right now but can't complain,the forests were getting dry and a danger for fire.
Thanks for your kind words on Brandi. Bo is keeping me,us very busy,he is in that 2-3 month puppy chewing because of his baby teeth.Other than that he is a perfect little pup.
Your cats would be hirrified to know his favorite toy to chew at is a lifelike stuffed cat.He will play with is 1/2 hour at a time.-lol
