Subject: Brandi

It is a good thing we don't always know what the future holds. When I last posted ,little did I know that would be Brandis last day. She went off her feet and went into fits, from there to throwing up.With great difficulty we got her in the back of my station wagon,The vet said she was too far gone to save so we did the kind thing and hastened her going. We will miss her companionship so very much and also the quiet way she had of nudging us to let us know if someone was coming in the yard. She was never a noisy dog or bad dog.Cruelly treated as a pup she was always afraid of tall thin men especially if they had a baseball cap on.We learned that the man who beat her always wore a baseball cap.I will miss our walks, our walks lately were very short because her left hip would tire too quickly and she would limp but on our last vet visit a few weeks ago nothing led the vet or myself to think she had such a short time left.
Phyllis the poem was so heartwarming under the circumstances for you and for me..thank you so much for sharing.
