Subject: 3 fun weeks

Hi Ellie & Tina,

I had a great visit with my son and his girlfriend. They spend time with family members here in New Hampshire. My daughter and her husband held a cookout one day. My daughter, son and his girlfriend and myself spend one day visiting the beach in Maine. We all walked the marginal way which is a beautiful scenic site along a path to view the breaking waves. One day my son and his girlfriend went hiking in the White Mountain area. They both are very well suited as they share the same interest in the outdoors. We also went out to eat at the Italian restaurant. Kaitlyn enjoyed dining with everyone. She was very happy to have a few french fries along with her meal. My son is her Godfather, so he was happy to see how Kaitlyn has grown since his last trip in October.

After they left back to Colorado, I packed to leave for Florida to visit my other son and his family. Michael (my ex-husband) traveled to Florida with me. We brought carry on luggage only so we did not have to check in any other baggage. It makes it much easier to travel. The flight was great and takes about 3 hrs. It is great to have a companion to travel with.

My granddaughters, Ariana (age 5) and Athena (age 3& l/2) were so excited to see us. We went to their dance recital rehearsals and then to a beautiful large auditorium for the final recital. We took so many pictures. Our family also enjoys seeing them as my sisters do not like to fly. It was fun spending time visiting and of course out to eat often. Our oldest granddaughter cried for an hour after we left to return to N.H.

Once back home, it was time to celebrate Kaitlyn's 2nd birthday party. My daughter held it at a dance studio. One of Kaitlyn's best friend, Katie (age 4)who's mother owes the studio attended. Kaitlyn ran all around and looked in the mirrows and had a great time with her family and friends.

Then, this last Saturday, we held a second small party with strawberry shortcake here at my house as my older sister and her husband could not make Kaitlyn's party at the dance studio. My best friend Nancy also came to celebrate too.

I now expect to return to my normal routine. I will be busy as my tenants gave me their notice that they will be leaving the end of this month. They bought a Condo. They have been excellent tenants. I will be advertising in our local newspaper soon. I hope that I will find good tenants again. It is very difficult and I do not look forward to the process. One big expense for people here in the Northeast is the price of oil. It is very expensive to heat as the price has doubled over the last year. I do have all new windows and had insulation in the attic but this is a very old house and I cannot afford siding and major insulation.

Ellie,

I did read your e-mail about your cold weather. It seems like it came on fast.

Tina,

I am glad that Bo was able to travel with you. Please give him a hug from me.

I guess I wrote so much but wanted to catch you gals up on my busy, fun activities.

Have a good week.
Phyllis

Phyllis I am so happy to see that you had such marvelous adventures with your family. It gives one such warm feelings to visit and have a part in our families lives if only for once in a while. I kept wondering about you and now I feel more content to hear all went well.
My oldest daughter is getting married this coming Sunday, this will be her second marriage. She is still friends with her first husband and his second wife, you might say they stayed friends for the childrens sake ,their youngest is now 18. I am more nervous this time than I was for her first wedding.I will let you know how it went..if I survive this week-lol
Thanks for sharing some of your adventure with us.
