For the last few years I have given many things to the church and animal shelter yard sales and to granddaughters furnishing university apartments..still I had some extras and called an auctioneer last week and said I had about 10 or 12 things that I was not sure of their value..well I got $275. for what I almost threw out.I think I am now at a comfortable :I want to keep the rest for my family" feeling
I had an overload of nic nacks that were gifts through the years and I felt guilty parting with them but one only needs so much.My laundry room is still loaded with Zoes toys but she uses them a lot.I have my doll and elephant collections but they are neatly on shelves.Feels so good to have the excess gone to good causes.

Good Morning,

It was good that you made some unexpected money on some of your items. I sure that all your donations of items were appreciated.

I am setting some items aside to donate to our church fair which is held in October. Also my friend's daughter has yard sales every so often and I will donate somethings to her. Many things I just need to throw away. Most of the clothes I will take to a drop off.

We are having a beautiful day today with low humidity. I am going out for a long walk with my daughter and Michael's black lab (My ex-husband's dog). My daughter and I take him for long walks especially on the weekends. My dog, Rufus, takes 2-3 short walks. He is limping at times and vet says he has arthritis. He is 12 years old and such a wonderful dog, full of personality. Everyone in my neighborhood has come to know him. He stops to visit several neighbors on his way back home from our walks.

Hope you are having beautiful weather too.

Take care.
Phyllis
