Subject: Great Concert

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that the concert that I went to was great! We had the best seats. We were in the center seats in row 10 and it was just perfect to watch the center stage. There were also 3 large screens too for people who were further back. It was an outdoor concert but they have a roof covers all the reserved seats so that even if the weather is bad the concert still goes on.

This was the 6th concert that I have attended of Kenny Rogers. I first saw him when my children were still in high school. Do any of you know him? Are any of you fans of his?

We had to go an alternate route because there were estimated crowds of 200,000 attending car races on the route that we would usually take to attend the concert. We left early and stopped at a restaurant before attending the concert. I also bought a VCR tape of Kenny (it was made 2 years ago)as it was on sale. I had many CD's of him also and a Christmas VCR too.

We have been having very rainy weather but it is supposed to improve tomorrow. I hope so as we are also planning a trip to the beach next Monday, weather permitting. Nancy will do all the driving as she loves the beach! This will be my first trip to the beach this year. My daughter has the day off so she will take care of Rufus (my golden retriever) as we will be gone until late in the evening.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Best wishes,
Phyllis

Boo Hoo..I would love to go to a kenny Rogers concert! So glad though that you got to one.We are having hot humid weather interspersed with rain but the rain only lasts 10 to 15 mminutes every few hours.Supposed to be terribly hot and fine all week end.
The farmers exhibition is in Bridgewater this week. there was a great 2 hour parade that I really enjoyed..having Zoe and 2 of her friends with me made it more exciting.
The wooden boat festival is in Mahone Bay this week-end..well today fri-Sat and Sunday.I am going down to the church tomorrow..or rather the Sunday school hall to help peel potatoes for the all day chowder luncheon Saturday but I am not helping at the luncheon because a daughter in law and I are having a yard sale at a friends yard which is by a 4 way road stop.Hopefully we will be getting rid of all this "stuff" that we don't need.
Hope you have a good time at the beach and where oh where are all our Australian friends? I miss them don't you?
It is their fall or cooler weather season so they can't be all working all the time, I feel as if I am being neglected by family even though they are sooo far away.
