Subject: High School Reunion..

Hi Phyliss, hope you have a great time at your reunion.. and will look forward to hearing about it.
Will tell you the EMBARRASSING time I had at mine a couple of months ago. Well, not high school. It was a reunion of 2 Neighbouring Baptist Churches, one of which I attended in my youthful days. Iwent with my long time friends Ruth and Barrie to this reunion.
First was a morning Church service, then that was to be followed by lunch in the Church hall.
The Church was packed.Ruth, Barrie and I were looking around and around for anyone we knew, or who might recognise us. First came the sermon, which was good, then communion. The ushers started passing the trays of little glasses of communion wine up and down the pews.
Because the pews were so tightly packed with people,AND the tray I got had a wobbly handle, when I tried to take it from the woman next to me I bumped my arm and four glasses of communion wine went crashing to the floor, spilling all over me on the way down!
Next was the lunch. It was delicious.. so many different sandwiches, savories, cakes etc, but apart from Ruth and Barrie I still couldnt spot anyone I really knew.
Then I spotted this guy,Don. Iremembered him really well.
He and I used to go to night school together when we were about 19.. then with another young guy,Wally, we would all go to a cafe together for hot chocolate before going home.
So I hurried up to him and eagerly greeted him, to be met with a blank stare.. he just didn't remember me at all!!
Well, that was that for my Church re-union!
Ellie.

Ellie don't worry about the spilt wine-our minister spilled wine all down over his nice white robe a few Sundays ago.He told us he was very embarressed-lol The other day....
I met a neighbor from a place where we lived 30 years ago,it was in the pharmacy or drug store and she had a hearing aid on but still could not hear good..after she finally heard my name then she remembered me and in a very loud voice so that she could hear herself she hollored"why Tina you got so fat"about 19 people turned around to size me up-lol..when I had last seen her I was a skinny creature and she was right-now I am chubby but she didn't have to yell it to the world!
I have been taking advantage of our beautiful fall weather to go to everything that is going on..can hardy wait for our lutheran womens retreat this week end..the cabins are heated if it gets cold but my sleeping bag is really warm anyway..if it is too warm I will unzip it and use it as a single blanket.
Nice hearing from you Ellie
