Subject: A funny story about Odin.

No, not Odin the Norse god! My eldest son Peter has a beautiful blue heeler pup, about 8 months old, named Odin.
Peter isn't married, so it's just him and his dawg. Pete is renting a house in a beautiful place in the hills called Kinglake. Anyway, the lady across the road from Peter has a big rottweiler, and one day she gave Pete 2 big marrow bones
for Odin. They were lying around for days in the yard with Odin chomping on them as dogs do.
One evening Pete got home from work and Odin raced up to 'kiss' him, but his (the dogs) breath was really rank, so Peter pushed him away and told him he stank!
Peter went inside and made a cup of coffee, then looked around for Odin to find him lying on the living room floor with a cake of soap beside him!
I laughed so much when Pete told me.Odin had never done that before, taken soap out of the bathroom.. but it just fitted in so well!
Ellie.

Hi Ellie,

I enjoyed reading about Odin and it made me laugh just picturing him with the bar of soap. Odin certainly sounds like he keeps your son Pete good company and entertains him with his shenanigans. Puppys are so full of it.

I remember once that Rufus (my golden retriever)chewed up my bathmat when he was a puppy. I was upset at first but I made sure that I closed the bathroom door after that.
Every time I am on the phone Rufus starts to bark because he knows that I will give him a treat to quite him so I can continue talking on the phone. (acts just like a child)

Animals enrich our lives in addition to providing companionship.

I hope you are having a good week and good weather.

Phyllis
