Subject: winterwonderland

wahoo..first snowstorm of the season and lots of it.Had the dogs out to play and threw snowballs..surprised faces when they catch the snowballs I throw.
Snowplows haven't plowed the roads yet so only trucks travelling and very few of them..this is a packy type of snow-not the light fluffy kind so the roads are slippery.
Have fun on the "other side" of the world sniffing your flowers ! The trees limbs are all drooping with the weight of the snow..looks so pretty.
I hope the roads are good tomorrow because I was asked to help out with the television telethon on cable t.v. for the s.h.a.i.d. animal shelter . Funds are low there at the shelter so the telethon success is needed but I have to travel to another town so I hope the roads are plowed .
All the best to you all.Tina

High winds came up and then 2 feet of snow added-thousands will be without power for 3 days or so.The telethon was postponed until the 1st of the new year.Trees down from the winds and lots of branches broken off..what a mess.I do have to admit this morning things do look pretty if one doesn't think of the work involved cleaning up branches and broken trees when the snow melts some or gets rained away.

Hi Tina,

You must have had the snowstorm that we were very fortunate to escape this time. I feel bad for all the people who were without electricity. I know when we lose our power for many hours that it is so difficult. I do not have any back up heat except oil heat so when power goes out we have no heat. I am just not ready for snow.

Were you able to help out with the television telethon on cable t.v. for the s.h.a.i.d. animal shelter?

Today the weather is gorgeous outside. The weatherman said it is one of the last warm days this year. It was 47 degree at 6:00 A.M. It will be up into the high 50's this afternoon. I went outside and did more raking and yard work early this morning,

My friend, Nancy and I went Christmas shopping for my granddaughters yesterday and had fun picking out gifts. I bought a cute cabbage patch doll for my granddaughter, Ariana for her upcoming birthday. She will be 3 in January.

Her sister, Athena turns one year old today. I already mailed her gifts so that they would arrived for her birthday party. They had a birthday party last week (one week early) for Athena and Michael (my ex-husband) and youngest son flew to Florida to help celebrate. I was unable to go as I have some work that needs to be done on the outside of my house and needed to be here while the workers are on site. Michael took lots of pictures and had a great time.

Ariana has brown eyes and dark thick curly hair. Athena has blue eyes and blond hair. I was excited to get new pictures and made extra copies to share with my family.

I am planning on going to a craft fair tomorrow with Nancy to see if I can find some more presents for Christmas.

I will be cooking Thanksgiving dinner for my family who live near me. One of their favorite dishes is a Spinach Pie.

I hope everyone is having a good week and those of you who will be celebrating Thanksgiving I wish you a happy one.

I have to go run a few errands.

Hello to all readers. I hope that those who have not written for quite some time will write even if it is short to say hello.

Phyllis
