Glad your first snowstorm did not turn into a nightmare storm like our first one did.We have been having fairly nice weather since then but yesterday ranged from rain to ice coating and back to rain-schools were closed because of unsafe roads and then we had a real cracker of a thunder storm..was just out with the dogs at 6 am and it is sort of cold..minus 6 and windy, the dogs just did their duties and wanted back in.
One advantage to getting older is the Christmas parties, the Lions club put on a free Christmas party for seniors every year and what a grand feast it is..I was also to the seniors turkey dinner presented by our elderfit swim club and besides the free dinner I won a lovely table cloth and covered mug with tea bag immersion insert. They gave out door prize tickets and I was one of the winners.Tonight is our ladies church group pot luck supper..we each take something and share everyones. We invited another church group to join us for the evening..it should be fun with Santa skits and funny poems and some prayer,ut we keep it light.
Like you I am finished with the Christmas buying and I have them all wrapped, thank goodness. With 7 children and their mates and 9 grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren that is quite a chore.
I hope you and all others are enjoying this season and hope everyones weather does not get too harsh.
