Subject: blizzard..Phyllis I think you dodged it-lol

Wow! we go snow and snow hills from the 90 to 100 klm wind gusts..hopefully we will be plowed out by tomorrow, I had to shovel a bit of a path so the dogs could go doodle..no easy task to shovel any of this stuff..oh well only the 3rd bad mess this winter, I have seen a lot worse .for those on the old measuring scale we got about 2 feet all in one night and about 5 inches this morning but the wind was causing white-outs and they had to pull the snow plows off the road because the drivers couldn't see where they were going.Kids love it no school and lots of snow to play in but alas no children here in my yard but the furry ones.

Hi Tina,

You are right we were fortunate to escape any major snow storm but we did get some light snow last night and it makes for slippery road and sidewalks. We are going to get extremely cold weather starting tonight and the rest of the week with lots of wind.

It is difficult to shovel the snow when it is heavy. I remember some of the storms in the past and so far we have not had any that compare to it. I think it is worse when the electricity goes out as then we do not have any heat.

Well we are into the middle of January so we can be thankful for that.

Yesterday was my birthday and I had a great day celebrating with my daughter and Michael after church. We topped off the day with ice cream sundaes.

My friend Nancy and another friend are taking me out on Saturday. The three of us celebrate each others birthday. The guest picks out the restaurant. My birthday is first as it is in January, the next birthday we celebrate is in February and then again in October.

If I remember correctly some of our chat pals have birthdays in January and some have anniversaries.

Nice to hear from you on a cold winter day.
