Subject: Another Snowstorm

Hi Tina, Ellie and any other chat readers,

It started snowing in the wee hours of the night and looking out my window it is pretty. Right now it is very light snow but weatherman states it will turn to heavy wet snow. The good thing is that it is Washington's Birthday and many offices are already observing the holiday. Schools were cancelled once again. They will just extend the school year to make up for these snow days.

I stocked up on groceries because of this predicated storm. I plan on making a beef stew today and sharing it with my family. My daughter and her husband both are working today.

I guess that there will be no walks for my dog today. I will have to let him out in my back yard which fortunately is fenced in. He prefers his walks of course and will not be happy.

Tina, you probably received more snow too. It is also very cold outside. I will have to bundle up to clean off my front walk and car and back steps but will need another cup of coffee before doing so.

Just wanted to say hello. I hope everyone has a good week.

Phyllis

We had almost spring like weather last week, then suddenly it went bitter cold Sunday and it was so hard to put up with after being spoiled by a mild week.Thank you for keeping the snow there and only letting 2 inches pass through to us-lol
My daughter is back from her trip to Texas and Mexico..she had a great time..staying there was free-she stayed with her best friends Aunt..her best friend and the Aunts daughter went with her. They had a marvelous time but each gained 6 to 9 lbs..all ate too much because the Aunt lives in a seniors campground park and the group there take turns cooking and each tries to out do the other..that way each only has to cook once a week.We used to do that at the lake I go to in summer but now we don't.
She was shocked at the cruel way the people in Southern Texas treat the animals at the rodeos and she would not go to a bull fight. Here our bulls and steers are clean and well fed and watered at our summer exhibitions the same as
the american ones that are bought up for competitions like horse and ox pulls but she said there it was shocking that the animals even survive.
I am glad she and her friends are back safe and sound -she bought me a small Mexican hat "wall hanging"and a boy and girl mexican dolls.
Wish some of the Australian ladies would update us on the weather in their areas just for the fun of comparison.
Have a good week!!
