We had almost spring like weather last week, then suddenly it went bitter cold Sunday and it was so hard to put up with after being spoiled by a mild week.Thank you for keeping the snow there and only letting 2 inches pass through to us-lol
My daughter is back from her trip to Texas and Mexico..she had a great time..staying there was free-she stayed with her best friends Aunt..her best friend and the Aunts daughter went with her. They had a marvelous time but each gained 6 to 9 lbs..all ate too much because the Aunt lives in a seniors campground park and the group there take turns cooking and each tries to out do the other..that way each only has to cook once a week.We used to do that at the lake I go to in summer but now we don't.
She was shocked at the cruel way the people in Southern Texas treat the animals at the rodeos and she would not go to a bull fight. Here our bulls and steers are clean and well fed and watered at our summer exhibitions the same as
the american ones that are bought up for competitions like horse and ox pulls but she said there it was shocking that the animals even survive.
I am glad she and her friends are back safe and sound -she bought me a small Mexican hat "wall hanging"and a boy and girl mexican dolls.
Wish some of the Australian ladies would update us on the weather in their areas just for the fun of comparison.
Have a good week!!
