You bring back such fond memories Phyllis-cuddling and reading to a baby..she must be a real charmer..no babies in my family for 9 yrs.You must also be so busy looking after home and travelling back and forth.Glad some of your family will be with you for thanksgiving,as you know our thanksgiving was in Oct.Perhaps its a good thing they are not on the same date because of air travel would be terrific because a lot of Americians live here and vise versa.

Ellie that is so cute-you feeding the senior cat..she must have thought she was in pussy cat heaven-lol Your heart was in the right place and she could have been abandoned so you did the right thing regardless of the outcome.We have had a marvelous autumn weatherwise, but now starting this week each day gets a bit colder with a few mornings in the minus one cels.I have to finally give in and use my winter coat..no more sweater days..snow boots will be next..last year at this time we were under a foot of snow..not even a fluffy yet.I have all my Christmas shopping done..thanks to a few new store opening specials and some Oct sales on things I wanted for the grandchildren.With my 7 children,10 grandchildren,sister,brother,hubby and a few friends 20 plus gifts run into quite a bit of money but by luck I have been able to halve last years expenses.
I even have them all wrapped so I remember whose was whose.Now I won't have to drive on slippery roads to do shopping if the weather gets bad.
