Subject: It's nice when..

Birthday celebrations go on so long! Happy belated birthday from me Phyliss.. and anniversary wishes to you Tina.
Our hot weather has gone for now, much to my relief! It's much cooler and we had a day of light rain yesterday.
Well, my big news is I guess that I've resigned from my job. It was only part-time but I've been involved with that project for the last 8 years, there have been some very good times and some very bad times, and I felt it was time to 'go'. I will continue to work till the end of Feb (a months notice) then who knows!
We started back at our Wed morning writing group yesterday and it was lovely to see all my writing friends agan ater the 2 month break/Also the theatre group will start again soon so that will be meetings and rehearsals for the plays which we hope to have ready to perform in May.

Ellie-a new world will open up to you later..a change of jobs can be a wonderful thing..after 21 yrs as tv program director I went to the animal shelter for 6 yrs..a whole new life - although I don't work there now I am a member of the shelter board.I have been so fortunate,enjoyed yrs of raising family-yrs of enjoyable work but at the end of the 21 yrs they just heaped too much on my shoulders,glad now that they did or I may have stayed longer and never have had the experience at the animal shelter.There is a reason for every season so they say and I beleive it.
Your writing group and performing must be real fullfilling.
Glad your weather is more to your liking now.
