Subject: Still Names..

Well Kylie.. I suggested Aragon or Legolas for Susan.. because I couldn't remember what the girls names were in the film.*grin*
However when you think of all the 'dual' names there are now.. who even knows if they are boys or girls!
For instance.. a young cousin of mine has a girl named Jamie.
Then there is Lindsey, Leigh,Or Lee.. Peta (Peter)
Glenn (Glenn Close. definitely a woman) Leslie/lesley/
and who knows if a Morgan or a Jordan is a boy or a girl till you actually see them!
Even John Wayne's first name was really Marion!
Never met a woman called Walter yet tho!
Thanks for sharing your childrens names Kylie.. Xanthea is indeed a lovely name.. and I must tell you that I once used that name for a cat in a story that won a prize. However it was a BLACK cat! I didn't check on the meaning beforehand!
Some people I know have a little girl named Iolanthe.. it means 'purple flower' Very unusual and pretty name.
Ellie.

I love Iolanthe. It is a gorgeous name.

I've always told dh that if we ever had another girl (if that were even possible) I would love to call her Francesca and call her Chessie from day one so people didn't shorten it to Fran.

Let's see - Arwyn and Eowyn I think, although I may have the spelling wrong, and then there is the wood elf queen, but I can't think of her name right now (just remembered - Galadriel). I actually like Arwyn.

A friend pointed me in the direction of these sites last week.

These are our family Hobbit names

I am Tigerlily Brambleburr of Bindbale Wood
Dh is Minto Brambleburr of Bindbale Wood
J is Dimple Brambleburr of Bindbale Wood
X is Lila Brambleburr of Bindbale Wood

With middle names included

I am Tigerlily Brambleburr of Bindbale Wood
Dh is Posco Brambleburr of Bindbale Wood
J is Olo Brambleburr of Bindbale Wood
X is Goldie Brambleburr of Bindbale Wood (interesting as her first name means golden haired)

These are the Elvish ones (so now Susan you can figure out what your mother might have called you)

I am Tįri Silimaurė
Dh is Elerossė Silimaurė
J is Fėanįro Silimaurė
X is Tarķ Silimaurė (same as me without the accent)

With middle names included

I am Tįri Silimaurė
Dh is Tathar Silimaurė
J is Findecįno Silimaurė
X is Órelindė Silimaurė

It's a fun way to waste a few minutes.

Kylie

Maybe I should be happy with Susan *grin*, could have been Maisie like my Mum (lol). Although Mum's middle name is Grace, which I just love.

Wow Kylie, you do have an interest in names, was interesting reading for sure.
