Phyllis, sounds like you are keepin very busy. Love the name of your group, very good. Made me smile. Sounds like you are making the most of your retirement and much deservedly so. Glad the weather is getting warmer, and ours is getting cooler now heading into Winter which is great.
Tina, no slowing your down girl (lol). Sounds like you are keeping very busy as well with interesting things. Happy 40th Birthday to your daughter as well, a real milestone.
Kylie, I know what you mean (lol). I work from home, we have an office attached to the house and I am sure people think I really don't work. I have friends pop by during the working day, expecting me to be socialable. I have had to
be a bit firmer, and say its really my working time, I feel so rude, but then again I think they are as well *grin*.
Cheers Susan

Dear Phillis-our weather is still much colder than yours and this is the first day of spring and my oldest daughters 40th birthday-the year she was born we had the biggest snow storm of the whole year-my doctor got stuck in a snow bank and didn't get to the hospital in time to deliver her-she sort of delivered herself with a nurse to do the nitty gritty-lol...we have over a foot of snow everywhere-big snow and rain forcast for tomorrow plus lots of wind..wonder what will win out the rain or the snow!!!!???
Like you I wonder where I got the time to work outside the home all those years..cleaning-cooking-having coffee with the gal pals-spending time with grandchildren and family..reading-doing crossword puzzels-going on the computer-walking the dogs..oil painting..feeding birds..wild and my 5 pet birds-3 budgies-2 love birds..oh I could go on and on but won't-"I heard that sigh of relief"lol
Regardless of having been ill I am enjoying my retirement..
One of my friends and I have been contacted to see if we would volunteer wednesday mornings to do recounts of the money and bookkeeping from their gift shops-since we can travel together we both said yes..and coming up in May I have committed myself to 2 or 3 mornings a week to get ready for the big animal shelter yard sale-some of you will remember the largest exhibition building in the area is rented for a month and folks bring clothes, nic nacs, furniture books..you name it and it arrives and we have to sort it and place it in boutiques within the ex building-purses,curtains,lamps,computers,tvs'radios etc.the first Saturday in June is always slated for the giant sale-thousands of folks come to buy so you can imagine lots of volunteer sellers are needed for that day.Hope I can stay strong enough to do all I volunteered for.
Phillis the sun is nice and high in the sky daytimes now and the days are longer-at least the daylight hours are so we should soon see spring weather-not just a first day of spring on the calender-lol
