Dear Ellie-I pray that your brothers radiation treatments are as successful as those of some of my friends-Karen 50yrs old had cancer on the eyelid-they made a special mask so not to burn the rest of her face-the year before they did her neck-a woman down the road had throat cancer 4 yrs ago-radiation cured it.Radiation is much easier on your body than chemo..Tell your Brother to phone the Canadian Cancer society-number for his area in the phone book-they will send him wonderful free information-this is great to compare if his doctors are doing all they can for him.
The worst with radiation is a burning sensation but it is not unbearable.
We had a wonderful easter-ate at one sons Good Friday-youngerst daughter had most of the family there for dinner yesterday-Easter sunday.A lily plant one son gave me opened its buds yesterday with 6 beautiful blooms on it.
Zoe who is my 8 year old granddaughter has been selected by the international bacculate to take part in a competition next Sat . she has been selected as the youngest child with an understanding of the meaning of big words.Grandma is sooo proud-guess you can tell-lol Grandma was also proud of her when she and 3 others sang for the congregation at church during the Easter service.
We are seeing a few more signs of spring each day-most of the snow is gone-now hope the mud dries up in the driveways.looking forward to grass and flowers but that will take weeks yet.Keep us posted on your brother.Keep your chin up!

Ellie, it's been a while since I've visited you girls and I am so sorry to hear about your brother. Hugs and thoughts being sent his way. It's probably worse that you can't see him and talk face to face I imagine. I really hope the treatment is a success and please keep us updated with his progress.
