Between you and I Phyllis we should be able to cool Ellie off-lol Ice and more ice! Last evening we looked exactly like a glass world, everything was sheets of ice and the wind was just roaring through the trees, sounded like a couple of freight trains. Seems like we may have a repeat of it tonight. The electric power was off an hour ago from the wind, must have blew a tree across the wires. The house cooled off quickly, glad it was only off for an hour and a half.
Thank goodness our supper had just finished cooking.
Wednesday was our 55th wedding anniv. We didn't want any celebrations..didn't want to worry about the family on the road.I just want us all to get together for a breakfast at a local restaurant at a later date.Breakfast because since there are so many of us we don't have to make big varied meal decisions and the restaurants always have the breakfast items on hand, like bacon, eggs, ham,sausage..you have the idea..no big decisions-lol I warned them all-no gifts,I had my place downsized but find things are building up again, especially since Christmas.
We did get some fruit baskets and flowers.
I usually don't like condensed books but I have been reading a few short stories on these "stay in the house" days.
It cost me $847. and $83. to get my car fixed for to pass the safety check, my car is a 99 Ford excort.Hubbys car is in perfect shape and a lot newer, he never allows it on salted winter roads. They said at the garage my car should now last a few more years,Thats probably more than I will-lol
Ellie do you have to have yearly safety checks on the vehicles there? I would imagine you do but one never knows.
MyGrand neice came home from australia to get married at Christmas time..they went to Western Canada in the mountain area to get married. They are massage theraphists in Australia but I don't know what part of Australia.
My Grandneices father was president of Labatts "brewery" some years in Africa, some in China, western Canada and some Asian Areas so I never really got to know my Grandneice. She is actually Ralstons Brothers Granddaughter.
My Husband came from a really large family so it is nearly impossible to keep track of all the relatives after you get past sisters, brothers, the in laws and neices and nephews. cousins and grands..forget it-lol
All the best ladies! Have a great week-end and greater next week!
