Subject: Hello!
Hi Gals. Slow in catching up again. I've been off color for a few days, nothing too specific, just headachy achy limbs, and enough stomach gas to fix the world's fuel problems.LOL! Tina. glad you have been able to get out and what nice things you bought to decorate your house. Do you have a Xmas tree? And how about you Phyliss?
I was out this morning and bought a few small gifts for the little grandchildren. The adults will draw names, and buy just one gift for the person they draw. With what seems to be an ever expanding family it becomes a heavy burden to buy for everyone, and the joy is in being together, not how many presents you get. I know you both know this! Weather so far is mild. I'm happy, the longer the heat holds off the better as far as I'm concerned.
Hope you both have a good weekend.
Hugs,
Ellie.

Hi Ellie & Tina,
I hope Ellie that you are feeling better. Sometimes we just get too worn out around the pre-holiday season. I know when I go to the mall to shop that I get totally wiped out from all the shopping and deciding what to buy.
My sister-in-law is hard to buy for. She has been buying me Christmas presents for years. Sometimes I have purchased a gift card from a store that she shops at, however this year when so many business in trouble I don't believe it is a good idea.
I have an artifical tree with blinking lights that you can adjust to blink several different patterns. I really prefer a real tree but the city does not pick it up and you have to take it somewhere not locally to dispose of it. I have already put up my tree and Kaitlyn helped me decorate it yesterday as her mom dropped her off. Ashley (Kaitlyn's sister) had a flu shot yesterday. They now recommend flu shots for children 6 months old.
We enjoy being with family and only buy small gifts for the adults. Both my sisters do not have any children but enjoy sharing the holidays with us. I will be cooking Christmas dinner which I enjoy doing.
I already mailed my gifts to Florida. I bought books for my 2 granddaughters. I still have presents to wrap and Christmas cards to write.
It is snowing out very lightly this morning and I don't think it will be too much snow today. It is slippery early in the morning because of the temperature outside.
This coming week I will be driving Michael (my ex) to medical appointments. As I mentioned before he can no longer drive as he did not pass the eye test for renewing his license. It is very difficult for him as he lives alone and has problems due to his poor vision. I try to schedule all his appointments on the days that I do not watch Ashley. He use to plow my driveway in the winter which I really appreciated.
Well I must sign off.
Best wishes for a good week to both of you.
Phyllis

It was 14 cels here yesterday, pouring rain, really high winds, we didn't get on the road from the city until after dark, so hard to see the roads with the pouring rain and high winds, I had to go for chemo, feeling a bit yukky this morning but not too badly as yet.Son Kevin and wife Roxanne took me, thank heavens he had the day off from work. Trip & chemo took all day.
My baby was 43 years old Thursday, the year she was born we had about 2 feet of snow from the middle of Nov until a brief but terrible Jan thaw and everyones yards , streets were flooded . What a difference this year.
Loved reading your letters, Ellie and Phyllis.
Hope the sky is clear tonight so we can see the big meteorite show mother nature is supposed to perform tonight-lol Phyllis are you supposed to see it in yur area
as well?
Kevin put up and half decorated my Christmas tree-I finished decorating it and the house. He bought me a new one that opens very easily-my one in the attic is so hard to unfold and so so big, this one is so much neater.
Wasn't going to bother with a Christmas village but I guess it is such a habit, I just had to do it.
Wishing you and your families all the best.
I think I told you that I spent the last week and a half in the hospital,or hospitals, after 2 & 1/2 days in Bridgewater hosp they transferred me by ambulance 10:30 at night to the city hosp.Had to pump my stomache out, then tubes in the nose to keep it clear,I lived on intervenus for 6 days, lost another eleven pounds, had a bowel spasm that may return & return but no way of knowing for sure.
Once again enjoyed your letters and wishing you all the best.
