Hi Tina & Ellie,

Yes, New Hampshire homes & businesses lost power. Our governor declares state of emergency.

The ice storm that hit the northeast was the largest outage in New Hampshire history. There are several areas that will not have their power restored until next weekend. Crews are arriving from Ohio, Virgina, Maryland,Massachusetts and Canada to help out. They are working non-stop to put power back on.

My son-in-law drove me to his house as I watch both granddaughters on Friday. When I arrived at 6:15 in the morning, their power was on. At 6:45 the power went out. Both he and my daughter went to work. I had to use a flashlight until day light. It was difficult to change the baby with only a flashlight. She did not like being in the dark. Kaitlyn had a battery operated little lantern that she had for Halloween.

My daughter was sent home in the afternoon as there was no power at her office. Both my sisters loss their power. My oldest sister lives in the country, so she and her husband went to a motel nearby their home to spend the night.

I was fortunate as I only lost my power at home for a few hours.

I hope that you Tina do not get any storm like this.

Thank you for checking up on me.

I wish both of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for you and your love ones.

Phyllis
