While some of them “looked” much more put together.. you can’t make an informed decision on who is gonna win based on how they looked at Work Weekend. The clothes don’t make the person. Some of these girls are brand new and you have no idea what they will bring to the stage and interview room. I have favorites but not based on what they wore this weekend. I disagree just a tad. While, of course, it is not definitive and there is no panel of judges....sometimes you can tell who has really put the thought and work in since last year. Basically, who has come to be serious and competitive. In my past years, I have tended to be able to "feel" who the front runners may be and it tends to turn out so at Miss NC week. For me Miss were: Hannah Harvey, Abby Britt and Hannah Welbourn Lewis. Teen was not as clear to me. (NT) No name 07:15:20 03/11/24 Mon

Hannah Harvey, Abby Britt and Hannah Welbourn Lewis are and were front runners prior to Work Weekend. Some of them just don’t have anyone to help with styling and some just have game faces. Those 3 will be in on finals night regardless of WW (NT) -- No name, 13:26:20 03/11/24 Mon

I’m afraid some looked at their headshots and hired hair and makeup for work weekend fearing they would not be recognized otherwise. Straight out of hairspray the musical. Unless you are going to have hair and makeup follow you to every appearance should you be crowned it’s time to face the truth you don’t look a thing like this without the smoke and mirrors. If you can’t get yourself ready for something as simple as work weekend I don’t know how you would ever be Miss NC or Miss NC Teen. (NT) -- No name, 20:50:54 03/11/24 Mon

More than a few did but they did their video and voice overs the first day and then they are asked to come hair and make up ready for pics the remainder of the time except for the production rehearsal of course they are all expected to look the part. Some of them definitely used H&M it’s posted on their social media accounts and some of them do their own. They are allowed to have H&M at state just not back stage and they definitely have a H&am team if they win and move on. (NT) -- No name, 19:48:21 03/12/24 Tue

From what I saw, most Misses that used hair and makeup only used them on Friday for their video recording. Everyone is allowed to use hair and makeup at state and the next Miss NC does have a hair and makeup person for Miss America.
