Subject Author Date why would it be a fiasco? Didn’t they have 31 compete last year? And they crown eight, on top of giving their winners significant amounts of scholarship. Organized and entertaining. I don’t know the Blackwelder’s on a personal basis but they run a great program. It was most definitely not a fiasco last season. I sat very close last year and I think it was pretty full. I do remember for sure when we left the parking lot was absolutely full and some cars were parked in places that weren’t actually spaces along the side so I’d imagine it will be pretty full again. (NT) -- No name, 13:50:38 01/18/26 Sun It was kind of hard to tell last night, plus girls had to be assigned to different titles since D'amrah, Josie, and Delilah held titles within this organization last year. All of these winners are Top 10 material (at least) plus hard to believe that Taylor Foley and Carrie Rader did not get a title last night. (NT) -- No name, 14:15:17 01/18/26 Sun So many good contestants last night. Rader seems discouraged, but she shouldn't be. She is just hitting a rough patch right now.....she is a future Miss NC. Not sure what happened in Foley's case.....talent was great, gown was gorgeous. She also seems to be experiencing a slump. The Tomberlin girl was a " sleeper" Don't think anyone saw her coming. Very good voice and looks great onstage. And in Teen, Camdyn Lee....well, what can you say...National titleholder material and so sweet. It doesn’t matter what the sash says those two probably outscored the others. They will both be top 10 and probably top 5. Lee is my pick for Teen. Purdue might take Miss but she will have to be on her A game the entire competition. Miss is going to be interesting this is a very competitive class. One of the strongest in a while. Most people that have been around several years & have been to watch the prelims can probably produce a list now that’s 75% accurate because we know what does well. I think someone said it was about $25,000 in total scholarship awards, but this committee also gets a lot of coupons and discounts for other services for it's titleholders too. .
