Subject: It’s funny how accountability suddenly becomes “rogue behavior” when someone speaks up. Respectfully, decades in a role doesn’t make someone above criticism, it just means they’ve had decades to get it right. If multiple contestants across different years are saying the same things, that’s not a smear campaign… that’s a pattern. Nobody is owed silence because of tenure, loyalty, or friendships. Titleholders deserve to be treated with respect, transparency, and professionalism… every single year. If the program truly reflects empowerment, then listening to concerns shouldn’t be a problem. Dismissing them as “one side of the story” without actually addressing them is exactly why people keep speaking up. We want better for these girls and for the program. That’s not being ungrateful… that’s caring enough to expect better leadership from Delores and anyone else in charge.

In reply to: 's message, "Look, I more than heard the story from Delores. The contestant in question was a rogue contestant from out of state. (It might even be you) She was uncooperative and only wanted the ticket to state. Thankfully she did squat. Delores has put years into that Gastonia program and I'm sure if you check with many of her past queens they would say they had a positive experience. Sorry that you did not." on 12:23:12 02/19/26 Thu
