Don't you think Homer's first four years were a little tougher having to face Northern Illinois, Northern Iowa, UIC, Akron, Cleveland State, etc? Comparing the two coach's success in the "Mid-Con" is a little silly when you consider only Valpo and Western Illinois remain in it from Homer's first four years. Also consider that Kampe has been at Oakland for years so he didn't start from scratch when OU entered the Mid-Con, like Homer had to. The more I think of it, the variables are so different that your argument really doesn't hold water.
