I need a washer. It still works but is going. Leaking some kind of fluid. I don't want one of those fancy ones. Mine is 32 years and counting. I got it the day my oldest son was born. It is a kenmore. I was looking at dishwashers and they said they are pretty much all made by the same company except for amana. I didn't want a dishwasher but my DH said we needed one so I picked out the cheapest one and it works great so far. So can't answer your question very well except I am in need of one also.

Thanks Linda for posting I did some research like you I don't want any thing fancy I think I'm going to stick to a speed queen my dryer was over 38 years old it still runs but the drum does not move I called a repair man he said they don't make parts for it any more the washer went
years ago about 24 lol
I'll let you know how it goes just in case you decided to get one I have to go to an appliance store so there a bit more expensive then Lowes or Home Depot Thanks again huggles Fran
