Hi Fran!
Just like you and Linda, I don't want to pay for extra features that I won't use.

Washer and Drier:
I wanted one with a large stainless steel drum.
Front loading machines - because it uses less water.
I also wanted to use the top surfaces for extra folding space.

I ended up with a Electrolux brand
and two years later I'm still happy with them.
We bought ours online at Costco, but you can buy Electrolux Brand at most places.

The only thing we are going to do is - built a stand for the washer and drier and use the space underneath the machines for laundry baskets.
I also won't have to bend down quite so far to get the laundry out either. :)

Hi Luci
Thanks for the post. I went out yesterday and purchased the washer and dryer from speed queen. I did see the Electrolux brand very nice indeed I was just afraid to purchase a front end loader because people were saying if you don't keep the door open the smell of mold appears I don't know how true that is but with the cost of appliances now days I just got a top loaded to be safe It also has a three year warranty parts and labor five years on the motor and fifteen years on the transmission (never knew a washer had a transmission) What a great idea about the stand and bending for sure my age is creeping up on me that would realy come in
handy
Thanks again
Huggles Fran
