... and nobody else would have pursued him to the point of offering up a draft pick and we'd have probably had to sign him to the one-year tender (and it really was a de facto either/or choice with Simmons or Spikes re-signing all along)? or take next-to-nothing in return, which still would have been more than we did get, i guess. it seems the decision to transition him came way before ML was on board and had any say so. he's learning about being a HC with the cap, so maybe he just accepted the status quo and will now have leverage to make the appropriate decision next time it would become necessary.

and you might even infer that Katie and Troy-boy are calling most of the GM shots now and the coach could actually assume the role of in-house 'visionary', with MFB along only in an 'advisory' capacity? can Shark now earnestly begin building a compelling case? stay tuned ...
