in favor of the moves taken as a whole, a few folks quietly question the fact that Brown didn't franchise tag Spikes and get a pick for him - but CBF was the only one having a cow about it.

My personal take on that is if you didn't raise hell at the time that Spikes was transitioned tagged to save $800,000, then shut your mouth now that it blew up in our face. The way I remember it, the only people who really even questioned the move were me and TJ and ironically enough neither one of us is bitching and moaning these days.
