Having the press hound them 24 hours a day after apologizing at least 3 times that I can remember?

There's a double standard there brother. It's ok for Democrats to do all kinds of silly racist things -- e.g. Robert Byrd's Klan membership and "white niggers" remark that is what a year old?

Then there was that beauty of a press conference while Clinton was President where the Dems were announcing their new economic program and trotted out some young white couple as examples of the people they were trying to help. Delay and Gephardt were there fawning all over the couple -- then the guy rolls up his sleeve and Hello what's there?

Why a beautiful tattoo of a Nazi Swastika. Did the press even peep about it? Hell no. The only guy who said a word was Howard Kurz, the Washington Posts Media Critic who had the guts to point out the disparity of what would have happened if Gingrich had pulled a similar bonehead stunt.

Hypocrisy Baby.

Jessie Jackson goes on about "Hymie town" and fathers kids out of wedlock and the liberal press takes him seriously as the "REVEREND" Jackson. Yeah right. That guy is nothing but a HYPOCRITE. Al Sharpton runs his big mouth over what Trent Lott SAID, but he's a convicted SLANDERER and SCOFFLAW who has never paid off the suit he lost over falsely accusing a man of raping Tawana Bradley, but he's going to lecture all of us about what the right thing to do is?

Mind you these two REVERENDS are supposed to be adherents of a religion that advocates "Turning the other cheek", "Forgiving your brother seventy times seven", "Judge not, that ye be not judged."

I can just hear ole Rev Jackson up in the pulpit now...

Rev J: "When Jeeeeeeeeeeeee - ZUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS met the woman at well who was caught in Adultery, did he forgive her?"

Congregation: "Yes Preacher! Halellujah!"

Rev J: "NO!!! HE DID NOT!!!!"

Congregation: "Watch it Preacher!"

Rev J: (SCREAMING) He NEV-AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH --- ACCC - USED HER!

CongregationL: "AMEN PREACHER!!!!"

Well that's right by what Jessie Jackson professes to believe, but it ain't how he lives when a Republican does the sinning.

This whole Trent Lott thing is really all about politics and power, not outrage over the stupid remarks that Lott made. As stupid as Lott's comments were, the game being played is even more stupid.

The only justice served is that the Democrats ended up kicking themselves in the ass. Trent Lott was relatively moderate and would have been a lot more valuable to the Democrats if he had kept his post. Now we're getting a more conservative Senate Majority Leader who will be much less likely to compromise and Lott still has his seat to boot.
