Not much to the Quickening that I haven't said before over on the S/D board, but here are a few thoughts:

Things that made me go Whoopee!

1. Loved Darla and Angel's conversation in the beginning about how *he* was responsible for the situation they were in.
2. I also enjoyed seeing how comfortable they were able to be around each other, even with no one around.

3. Flash backs are always a big plus for me, no complaints there-- the way Angelus was staring at Darla after feeding on Holtz's wife? Yippee! (excuse my euphoria, I am becoming a hard core Da/Aer)

4. This wasn't exactly an event, but I thought Julie did an excellent job in her screaming at the end. When I heard that add over the radio, my heart lurched when she shrieked in pain.

5. The hospital scene was perfect. I liked the part when Darla declined to help the Fang Gang fight the vampires until her *own* life was threatened. (That was exactly how I pictured Darla fighting on their side)

6. When Darla called out to Angel "Angel." "Yeah?" Silence, we all bite our nails, anticipating a declaration of love. "Get out of here." Fell off the bed. Laughed. Lots of enjoyment on my part.

7.Holtz was great. I liked his little code of pride that he seemed to have, and the fact that he is obviously now uber-human, because he can kick lotsa ass.

WTF???:

1.Cordy punching Darla. I felt an instant need to bitch slap her. I like Cordy, but I like Darla more, and I'm sure that if that assault hadn't resulted in contractions, the Queen of Mean would have been missing her lower jaw at the end of that scene. It wasn't a very smart move, even with the others around, because Darla still would have had ample time to break her neck-- not to mention that the others would not be able to stop her...

2.What was up with the Ninja? I thought that was funny and all, but why the heck did they make such a big fuss over him just to have him die? How was the scene?--"Diiie!" Then gets bitten by about twenty vampires. Wow. He was really special.

3.Was disappointed to see that head-cult vampire staked. He was starting to grow on me.

4.Fred needs to shut up more. I like the girl and all, but *please* know when to shut your yap!

5. The episode ended, and I was just starting to relax into it!! Arrgh!

6. That doctor guy appears to be dead! I liked him! He was really creepy and held up those wicked looking instruments. "Sit the baby's cage next to mother's." "I look forward to dissecting both baby and mother."-- If this guy turns out to be just knocked-out at not dead, I'll be jump-up and down happy.

--end of thoughts.
